What Carla said. I would just be very vigilant about him and other JWs indoctrinating your kids. Keep them involved in school, activities with non JWs,make a deal with the spouse.....only Sunday meetings...none on school days or nights. If they don't want to go then they don't have to. Your kids will be taught to think, have normal friendships and development etc.

What would make an Ex-Jw go back to been a full in Baptized JW
by LOLS ini was just wondering , why would my jw husband return to been a full blown baptized jw after 20 years of fading?.
he has spent 20 years of his life been a worldly person , with a worldly wife & kids & worldly friends .... to joining the borg full time , to getting baptized , to getting new brothers & sisters .... and to writing off most of his worldly friends (some his known his whole life ) , to trying to convince me & our children how wonderful this org is ......and anyone else who will listen :(.
has anyone ever experienced this ...... oh and he seems to be in it 110% and no-one can say anything about this crazy org or show him proof that it all bs...... his such a clever independent , successful guy , why on earth would he go back to this , after been out for so many years & change into this domineering , opinionated fool ..... oh and his entire family also went back ... father , mother , brother & sister .

Is there a Will..?
by zeb inhave begun to update my will.. for some who have very severe divisions in family it would be a good idea to avoid orgs or undesirable relatives claiming part of your estate and more to the point making sure it goes to what or who you wish it too.. live long and prosper in wisdom..

I don't know if you can make an iron clad Will. My MIL had a Will and left a generous portion to her two sons with added protection of "if anyone contests this Will they will be eliminated". One contested. Her lawyer said that anyone can contest a Will.

Apparently I am not worth saving ,why else would they acknowledge me and then pass on by.
by smiddy3 injw`s were in my area for the first time in i don`t know how long.i`m in a regional area.
anyhow i was walking down my driveway with the purpose of going around to my outside fence to spray poison along the fence boundary.. across the road were two witness ladies talking together on the opposite side of the road and could clearly see me coming out of my house.
i proceeded to rake away newly mowed grass to better expose the area i was going to poison along my fence.. when the two ladies ,maybe 40`s and 50`s ?

Maybe they were afraid of the poison in your hand.

Family is now reaping what they sowed and they don't like it.
by Gemmel ini resigned from the jw's in my 20's over 30 years ago, i was immediately shunned by my entire family and it's remained that way with a few exceptions ever since.
one of those exceptions was being contacted by a cousin a few years back and during that conversation i discovered that my mother had been and still was the prime mover in my complete and continuing shunning.
i then used what contacts i had left to confirm it.

People can be so stupid. Just follow the example from the Organization. They kicked out all the long time servants in New York. No job skills, no money, no social security, no letter of reference just a thank you and get out. They gave NOTHING to people who gave everything. Don't reward inhumane treatment. You did the right thing.

Contaminated Thought System
by new boy inin gathering the last little bits of info for my book i tracked down different people, that i have known for many decades.
some are still jws and many have made the break to freedom.. one of the people i contacted was a woman i knew over forty years ago.
she like myself was a "born in.

Born in. stayed 50 or so years. I have so many self doubts because of indoctrination. I always have to question "why am I thinking/feeling this/that". I think JWs are so judgemental because you have to accept that everybody deserves to be destroyed....whether they are good or bad. I wish I could find a therapist who has experience with cults. (without being too weird themselves). Now the holidays are coming. Just to get thru another xmas. It's not that it makes me angry or anything. It's just pretty exhausting.

Dis-fellowshipped For Not Going To The Kingdom Hall You Are Assigned Too
by new boy inmy parents started attending the glendora congregation in 1961. my mother had a strange feeling about the congregation.
there was something going on there that just didn’t feel right.
there was a huge exodus going on of people leaving this congregation’s kingdom hall too.

Time matters
by I Faded Twice ina few years back i was in a meeting between fades and it was the co visit.
he said something i thought was crazy and a lot of jws buy into this mentality.
i don't remember the talk but he asked this question.. what if this isn't the truth?
-

"What if it's not the truth?" Then it's a lie. Period. You dedicated your life, your family, avoided friendships, education, adventures. You dedicated your life to a lie some old white guys made up to make them rich.

PIMO to POMO
by MaybeSo inok i'm ready for the transition.
i am not writing anything to anyone or writing some dumb letter.
the calls and visits trying to get me to come back will soon follow, the family guilt trips will intensify, loss of friends- really more like cult member associates, how the hell am i supposed to do this?

Just cease to exist to them. You have made your decision for yourself. THey are no part of it.
