Are you bothered?
by LouBelle ini'm just curious if you seriously take what people have to say about you on this forum.
do you care if they cause offense or call you namesl.
does it effect how you feel about yourself?.

I used to be very sensitive to comments. "Overly" sensitive to be more exact. But not anymore.
It takes all kinds to make the world turn. One cannot please them all. One should not even try. -

1Cr 5:9
I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
1Cr 5:10
Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
1Cr 5:11
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.
1Cr 5:12
For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
1Cr 5:13
But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person." -

Happy Family Day to Canadians!
by fjtoth inthis is a new holiday in canada, and i wonder what "pagan origin" the watchtower society will attach to it in order to get jws to avoid it and to instead spend the day selling books and magazines.
if jws do spend the day in so-called "field service," it will surely draw criticism from their canadian neighbours who appreciate the anti-workaholic purpose and spirit of the day.. .

Welcome to the forum.
Once you have really made your decision to leave, it will not always be smooth sailing. But you must learn to stand on your own two feet, one baby step at a time, and not allow anyone to interfere with the way you choose to live your life.
Wishing you the best... -

I lost a best friend to cancer last July.
Seeing her for the last time, there was no need to say anything. She was afraid of dying and only wanted a comforting presence, a hand to hold.
Not to worry...you will know what to do once you get there.
Sending Love and Light your way~

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

I never make too many waves on this forum. And I know the atmosphere has been rather tense lately. So I will not start a new thread on this...
But I just wanted to let you know that I will be having surgery tomorrow. Followed with an expected 3-4 day stay at the hospital. Followed with a 6-8 week recovery period at home.
Any positive and healing thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thank You.
Love to All. -
