hey guys.

i've decided that during this time of being dfed, maybe trying to get reinstated, i'm going to enjoy my time with myself.

that being said, i would like to do some traveling when the weather warms up across the us.

i'm not really sure where to post this.. i've been with my boyfriend for 4 months now and i've really never been happier.

i was brought up in the church of christ with an elder father and i really believe in my religion, although i will admit to being a lousy christian at times due to sheer laziness (not wanting to get out of bed on sunday).

my boyfriend essentially lives with me.

If he gets reinstated you may well end up playing second fiddle to a f##ed up religion and by the sound of it his mother.

Best you sit him down and have a long talk with him about were your relationship will go if he goes back to the J.W's,Remember the religion will always come 1st you a poor 2nd.

It's difficult for an outsider to understand but thats the way it is.

Quality of JW teaching from elders

there was a recent thread on the "quality" of converts to jws in recent years.

it wasn't a pretty picture, based on the thread contents.. well, the lack of depth isn't restricted to new converts.. in our clam this week, one of the principal points for review was this:.

ne 1:1; 2:1—why can we conclude that “the 20thyear” mentioned at nehemiah 1:1 and 2:1 is countedfrom the same starting point?

The quality of Elders has gone down due to the pool they have to pick from.

At least 70% of young ones are leaving before they are 20 so it leaves very few to make up the Elder body.

In my old congro they had an Elder who had clearly smoked to much dope before coming a J.W his talks were painful and all over the place.

The decent older Elders are all worn out or past their used by date an are Elders in name only.

alot of members don't have a flag or country name beside their user name, and well frequently one doesn't know where that particular person is from, tell us your country, state, county or what ever you feel like giving out.

Stepped wife. I stopped going and the elders called me wanting a meeting I said thank you but I don't want to waste eather one of us time . They left me alone ever since wife and children kept going children all eventually stopped . Karter

we were right down with the very lowest.. father never a jw we had a po with little mans syndrome and love to pick on sisters that had no husband to stand up for them,he picked on my mother only to find out he picked on the wrong person,she came from a hard up bringing and didn't take any s###t from anyone particularly this little bully and we were very poor...how low can you get!.
