you are expected to keep you children, regardless of age, quiet for 2 hours.
the expectation is that they are as quiet as an adult.
And they are going to be tired going into those unit tests, ensuring that they are going to do poorly on them.
I remember one family would occasionally miss meetings for school work and getting to bed early, and most others talked about them behind this backs for it.
They were not "putting spiritual things first"

The Awake article was Feb 8th 1990.
As a kid, I leapt for joy when it came in the mail because -get this- before reading the Awake article my
mom flat out refused to believe in dinosaurs.
Yeah, she said she thought they were all a hoax.
After the Awake came out with "permission" from the F+DS to believe in them, we started going to
dino museums and the like.
JWs, being Old-Earth creationists don't actually have a problem with the dinosaurs living
(ahem) THOUSANDS of years before humans. There is the lingering question of WHY god would
create a entire ecosystem just to destroy it before creating another...
(Personally, my favorite theory is that god is a kid playing in a sandbox with his legos.)

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by Jehovah for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.
So there you have it. The earth, when created perfectly, came out a big too green and bushy for little bitty humans, so the dinos had to come and chomp up the overgrowth to prepare the planet for humans. (notice, the dinos are not allowed to chomp EACH OTHER, becuase that would be the eating of meat before mankinds "Fall", which is not allowed. Bad Dinos.
