Childhood fears

i'm sure this has been asked, but is there anything that you were horribly afraid of as a child, that you most likely have gotten over since?.

i was just watching x-files, and there was a spontaneous human combustion scene.

that was one of my big fears as a kid once i heard of it.

The WTS And Our "Worldly Friends"

you reminded me of the friendships i had before i was a jw.

we could say just about anything to each other without worrying that someone would use it against us at some later date.

I think if you are raised in it, you develop fear of outside friends. In school I was such an oddball because I was scared of getting friends at school. I think for others it may be like an abusive relationship where the abusive one slowly seperates the other from friends and family, so that they are alone with the abusive person. They don't usually fight it because they become convinced that the abuser really has good intentions.

If Witnesses do get "worldy" friends they risk finding out that there really are good people out there and life can be fun. Then who would work for the Society as volunteers?

my cousin - only 65 - and until monday in seemingly good health - took a walk to his little woodshop and did not return on monday.

two hours later his wife found him.

as you can tell i love christmas and it's less than a month away, a lot of people start to shop for gifts next week, so i want to know what's on your wishlist this year, anyone wanna share?.

Well,we did it. While playing Christmas carols on the XM we put up our little bit of Christmas cheer. Way too early, I know. We just couldn't help it! I can see why people drink spiked egg nog during the process. My 2 yr old son was a HUGE help. It is all beautiful!

BFD, I have 4 strays on my back porch as we speak. One of my hubby's bosses cat had a litter in the spring. They are all wild now but one. And it got saved because it got injured and someone took pity. I have 3 of the kittens. And a bobtailed black cat that I thought was a Yorkie, it's so big. I would like to hear how yours became Jewish though....
