I know Jermaine Jackson. He says both of his parents are JW's still. And that Michael has made decisions that he doesn't agree with. He and his wife are Muslims.

Disfellowship and the jackson
by alexb123 infirstly, letoya jackson is on big brother uk and shes was talking about how micheal was meant to shun her when she left the jw's.
i was just reading up on which jackson are still in the cult and it appears their mum is but she has not been disfellowshipped for still talking to her kids because she has a lot of money is this true?.
also, what happens if a husband and wife are jw's and one of them leaves, does the husband then shun the wife etc?.

by cognac infirst of all, we haven't been to 1/2 the meetings... i guess she hasn't noticed.
anyways, some things have worked out very well for us (not spiritual or religious) and she said that jehovah's holy spirit was with us.
she asked if we had been praying to god for these specific things.

Are JWN posters considered apostate?
by rmt1 inmy jw elder father is going die of liver cancer, and his prognosis is 3 to 12 months.. i am disassociated and have been out of contact with my family for four years, up until two days ago.
i do not consider myself apostate, because i believe that is constituted by actively trying to undermine a jw's faith.
but i could be way off.. i am hoping to remain in contact with my father during his cancer experience but i need to have some idea of what status or standing they assign to anyone who posts or reads a 'life-after-jw' board such as this one.. in their hierarchy of damnation, does it constitute a biblical-scale apostacy for someone to post to this kind of board?

I lost my dad 14 years ago.
I am going to suggest something others here may not agree with.
Do whatever you need to do to keep in contact with your dad. Once he is gone, that's it. It leaves a hole in your heart forever.
Fake it, lie, whatever. But don't let the religion keep you away from your dad's last days.

No, I just got a computer about 8 years ago. Left a year ago.
And I have kids, so I don't want them to get the byproducts when they are on the web.
That's why I stick to TV and a locked door!

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Dear Journal,
Today I am sitting in a quiet house, listening to thunder make music outside my walls. My children are warm and safe in their beds. They have everything they want and need. Their dad and I have good, satisfying jobs to provide for them. They have a beautiful, safe home to live in. And I am grateful for it all.
Yet, how easily this peace can be shattered. One careless decision, one thoughtless act could ruin it all.
How easily we forget what we have to search for what isn't real. When life is running smoothly, why must we cause tidal waves to tip the boat of life over? Why do we listen to those who don't care what effect their words will have?
Listen to those who love us, and have loved us through the roller coaster of life.
Ignore those who want to cause strife and division in our life. They have used the same songs, the same stories, the same false connections on others, and will continue to do so. They somehow enjoy the damage they cause. Enjoy seeing how they can effect a person in a difficult situation.
Appreciate the life you have. It may not be perfect but it is yours, and no one should try to take it away.

Probably tortilla chips, like Tostitos or Doritos, fokyc.
Shredded beef or chicken.
Jalapenos are actually the hottest at the white part holding the seeds in. Try banana peppers for a little bite, not fiery.
Black beans and corn.
Rotel is good too.
