  remember when i posted a possible job interview at a daycare center...well, i've had 2 phone interviews and 1 face to face coming up in an hour.. getting this job will make or break me at this point...lol.

  Help! I have a Xmas tree in my house!

  i am sitting here looking at my very first christmas tree set up in the foyer.

  a very good friend gave us a prelit 6 ft tree.

  my husband brought it home last night and i just couldn't stand it anymore!.

  Thanks for the advice Shaun. Hoestly I think it is the KMart fake kind (faketorius kmartus). But it was Free!

  If I promise to love it and feed it and take it for walks can I keep it?

  No, I about poked my eye out setting it up. It was just that initial panic/excitment feeling seeing it all lit up.

  I'm going to go as all out as possible. With needing everything and 3 spoiled kids it will be interesting. The girls want ipods. That'll have to be Bday presents.

  I'm having about 20 people over for thanksgiving too. Talk about jumping in with both feet huh?

  Avoiding an Elder

  i'm almost six months past walking away from the religion, and one of the elders has risen and thrown a monkey wrench into my entire plan.

  things have been great actually.

  since i've managed to shed myself of congregation responsiblities, the elders have gotten off my back quite a bit.

  RF May I suggest turning your machine off. Then they can't leave messages and if they show up ask them to call first. Oh, and get caller ID if you don't have it.

  My sister chains up her Rottie in the carport on the weekends. That may be a little extreme, but it's worked!

  I don't care if they come over, I'll tell them I don't care what they do, just leave me alone. Of course I have no personal attatchments in a new hall.

  How do the JW's justify selling old Kindom Halls to Christendom?

  in a town near where i live the kh was sold and i noticed a couple of weeks ago a sign was put up...church of god in christ.

  i know it's all about money....but it just seems hypocritical to me.

  i mentioned it to my rommie...she didn't even bat an eye, like it was no big deal..

  I was in my last hall for 10 yrs or so and they just sold it and built a new one down the street.

  The building was 30 yrs old and had a ton of problems. You could see rats walking in the overhead lights!

  But it was on a desireable street and it sold to a church.

  They made enough to nearly pay cash for the new building. Maybe between that and the problems they passed on, they didn't care who bought it.

  I am sitting here looking at my very first Christmas Tree set up in the foyer. A very good friend gave us a prelit 6 ft tree. My husband brought it home last night and I just couldn't stand it anymore!

  It looks beautiful with the lights reflecting off the wood floor. Luckily it's a gray day outside.

  I'm going to decorate it with the few things I have and take the kids picture in front of it, for our CHRISTMAS CARD!

  I just had to share this momentous occasion with my new friends!

  i asked the deary and she said yes she would so love that!!.
