report child abuse?.
here in canada, the month of october is child abuse awareness month.
our local news station reported a yell off about abuse: people had to yell a sentence ("stop child abuse" or some other comment appropriate to the issue) into a decibel reader to see how loudly people could yell their message.. so i got to wondering, how many of you have called the police if you even thought about calling on the police so they could make sure a child was ok or needed help.. i've done it at least three times - although for two of them i didn't know if children were involved.. the first was an argument i could hear several houses away.
Yes, for my brother. I wish I could have done it earlier than I did, but when he called crying in fear for his life, that was the last straw. My brother never went back home to my dad. We picked up from their condo, and called the police. He went to live with my mom. After a nasty custody dispute. He was with us until it was final.
I had threatened one time before. But was "convinced" that that was a bad idea.

i have always been reluctant to post any pics of me on ex jw public forums or give away too much personal information.
I heard the opposite. Myspace was the way to go, facebook was old school.
So I got both!
I love facebook, but I am playing mafia wars on Myspace, which I like.

Wow, all lies. Raised a Witness, BTW. Most are also lied to, and in the dark on many of the facts.

I also believe life begins at conception. That life wouldn't survive outside the womb, but it is life.
I've had 4 six week ultrasounds, and the little heart was beating in every one of them. Unfortunately one was in essence "aborted" as it was an ectopic pregnancy. I asked my sister in law if it's heart was beating, and she kindly lied to me and said no. But there were tears in her eyes. I said it was wasn't it..yes it was.
A friend of ours is raising a child of rape. Great kid, almost 11.
All of that being said, I wouldn't have an abortion, nor would I influence someone either way. I would just want them to be presented with all the facts and options. I've supported friends after an abortion.

WTF? My niece is graduating in the spring. She'll come out making 6 figures. AND she'll be helping some of these ingrates in the hospital.
College promotes a better life when you graduate. What happens while there can be attributed to the child's upbringing, IMO.
