  Pinole women {Witness Pioneer} hit by a runaway van = Where was God?

  sad news report the story of janice perez who was a watchtower missionary in south africa and even got caught up in 9/11 when visiting new york she escaped the building collapse only to return to help in the digging.

  a very kind lady with many children and grandchildren.

  while doing some night gardening due to her lupus she was hit by a van that broke free from a tow truck....so again where is god and why do good people die?

  my daughter's boyfriend is in a prrety good band.

  they have been playing in my basement for quite a while.. they need a name, and i'm empty, the ones they are coming up with are lame......they play rock..... any suggestions???

  just to change topic from all this doom and gloom going on around these parts, makes me feel all queasy as if i'm attending watchtower ... so how about some country?

  i love country music, always have.

  I took a clear hair elastic and put it around the spray nozel in our kitchen sink. I pointed it forward and when my husband turned on the water it sprayed him in the face.

  First and last time he has ever fallen for one of my practical jokes.

  i am having a somewhat retrospective evening.. some of you whom have been on here for forever and a day, may recall my living in the philippines back in 1988-1989.. i remember the radio stations eminating out of the greater manila area.

  trust me, i haven't heard as good fm in other parts of south east asia as i did in the philippines.. i remember listening to this station from manila: dwnu-fm.

  they frequently played australian music.

  the australian summer can be so hot.

  do any of you homemakers know how i can keep my house cool?........oh crap did i post this in "adult"......now all the wrong people will check this out.

  Keep your blinds or curtains closed during the hottest part of the day.

  Ceiling fans are the best, but any fan will help.

  If you have air conditioning, do not open windows and keep the door shut. Like we say down here, "You'll let all the bought air out".

  Trees or shrubs around the house can help too.

  does anyone else get excited about this holiday?

  i just love it!

  i always did, even when i was a dub kid sitting in my room (on the front of the house) in the dark, watching all the other kids running around the neighborhood.

  I love Halloween. Our first was last year. I am setting out the decorations today. I am the only one in our snooty neighborhood who goes all out. But the kids love when they come to the door.
