Just to change topic from all this doom and gloom going on around these parts, makes me feel all queasy as if I'm attending watchtower ... so how about some country? I love country music, always have. Just listening to to some right now ... so here we go

I love the genre, but I am selective. The only Faith Hill I like is her early stuff. Before she got extremely popular and her music got too poppy.
This is an excellent cover of Janis Joplin's Another Piece of My Heart. Faith, if you're out there honey, please go back to real country arrangements.

here is another one of my favorites
Our family geneology takes us back to Osceola through my father to his mother whose father had a Seminole mother and Cherokee father. He was a great, great, great grandfather to us. I heard this song a few years before and always felt a strong reaction when the ghost of Osceola was mentioned.

When I listen, I'm a fan of the Classic Country. I like lots of stuff from the 1980's and earlier. I love me some George Jones, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Reed, Vern Gosdin, Don Williams, Bill Anderson, Mel Tillis, Porter Waggoner, Buck Owens....oh, I could go on and on. If it's country, put some twang in that thang.
