I want an excel spread sheet of the location of each member? Lady Lee Help.
by Caligula1 inlady lee,.
i'm impressed witht the map that you posted 5 years ago with the location of each member.. can you provide an updated sheet?.
with the locations, i will them pm each person for their email, and compile them in an excel spread sheet.. what i want to do is get the email of each person, then when i'm in that a certain part of the country, i will send an email to those in that area, as i love "our" conversations.

Lady Lee,
Thanks for the response.
You have an incredible story.
My only (wishful) plans for a trip to Canada, is a casino that borders the US (New York). I believe thats a ways from Ontario.
Keep up the good work.

Who do you consider as a friend ??
by troubled mind inwhen we were witnesses every other witness was our "friend" ,but more often than not they were just aquantinces involved in the same religion as we were .
at the time i felt i would have given my life for others in my hall .
i tried very hard to be a good friend to others by showing personal interest in their lives and offering encouragement or help when they needed it ,but i never really felt a real connection with most .. i always wanted to have a friend and be the type of friend that could just stop by to shoot the breeze at anytime and feel welcome .

Girlie,
I agree. I must set a goal to build my friendships. Where are you located?
LoriJis
Yes, it is a challenge but I believe worthwhile to find true friends.
"Ms. Popularity".............were you a pioneer?
Also, based on many posts like yours, I see the benefit of the "Artful Fade".
In the "The 40 Laws Of Power" it talks about retreating and bending at times....as a skill set.
Let's meet up in Atlantic City New Jersey (USA) soon. Let's invite others. Atlantic City is an easy spot for a lot of people to get to. New York, MD VA, PA, DC etc. From my jurisdictions it's about $14 round trip, and the buses leave at least 6 times a day.
Maybe that can be the theme of our conversation....How to begin........or continue........building friendships after leaving the organization. Here's a slight caveat: How about building friendships with current JW's. Now that's probably a stretch for another meeting.
LET'S MEET IN ATLANTIC CITY NJ (USA)
The Hilton has a nice buffet (huge shrimp), but if meeting in a casino is a problem, I understand, we can meet at the Country Kitchen Buffet, next to the Tropicana.
Anyone that can make to Atlantic City some times this year, send me your email, and I'll add you to my "Atlantic City Possible Meet List".
If you want meet up at a local restaurant, or just grab a donut somewhere, when I come to the following cities, then send me your email, through Private Message or by email [email protected]
- Atlantic City, New Jersey (USA)
- Las Vegas, Nevada (USA)
- Maryland (USA)
- Virginia (USA)
- Washington DC (USA)
- Tampa, Florida (USA)
- Atlanta, Georgia (USA)

Simon,
I understand.
There maybe even more negatives than what I have thought about, and I want people to feel comfortable posting. The comfortableness, they posters feel in the protection of their identity, is one of the reasons that the board gets such great posts.
I saw a thread where people recieved a Private Message with there real name in it, since someone could figure out who they were. Obviously, that "identity discovery" should not occur from any Adminstrative Task.
I'll play around with the members button, I may be able to see the locations myself.
What ever you decide do, or decide not do, I'm in agreement.
Thanks
P.S. If the rough estimate can be done automatically or with little ease, consider just giving it to me, or the people who request it, or the people who you feel will not abuse it............................but feel free to scrap the whole thing.

Troubled Mind
Great post. I'm working on developing friends. Well, I ought to be doing that. Being raised a JW, its difficult.....but even not be raised a JW, it is difficult. I do belive there is a formula out there.
Girlie,
How many friends do you have?
Is it Ok to just have transient acquaintences?

Anyone in Los Angeles CA (USA)
Private message cyber Jesus your email and spot you can meet and talk, Mcdonalds is fine to have a 30 minute conversation. If more than one person responds that's even better. I don't think we need a formal meet-up all the time to get benefit from a face to face.
cyberjesus
It is good that you are taking affirmative steps for the depression. It is good that you are not suicidal. If those things change let us know.
Randy Watters used to be in Lajoilla??? California. I don't know if he sees people anymore like he used to. You can try him. I'm not sure how far that is from Los Angeles. Also, I know his father was buried today in another state.......and that's one of the benefits of this board, we don't have to depend on just a few people to arrange face to face meets.
Keep us posted.

Simon,
Is there some way for this email/location list to be created and distributed to those that want it?
I see the negatives already,
1. Privacy concerns;
2. Getting spammed
3. Time to to this
4. keep up with new emails; and expired emails etc.
5. Easier for some zealous Witness to track down someone in there area
6. Accidental email exposure from lack of knowledge of sending cc emails, etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this project is unfeasible at this time, or not within the scope of the board, I understand.
Keep up the good work.
To Those That Were In Deep
If you're in or visit one of those regions, PM your email and location.
My spots for visiting this year are all in the USA.
Tampa Florida (and maybe Jacksonville)
Atlantic City New Jersey
Las Vegas Nevada
Maryland
Atlanta Georgia
Philadelphia PA
Washington DC
Virginia
And a few other spots
Thanks

by serenitynow! ini've lurking for months, and have enjoyed the various personalities on the board.
i'm pretty sure that i've seen this topic done on an old thread, but i don't want to get my buddy asilentone all riled up by performing a resurrection.

Troublemind,
I'll have drink with you as long as it's Apple juice. I drink alcohol about once every 10 years. I'm in the Northeast United States.
Lady Lee,
I'll have a drink with you. I love to meet up with people that were in deep. The map is incredible. Can you do that again? I'm going to put that request in another thread.
Simon,
I would love to hear the behind the scenes of this board, and why you took it over.
Blondie,
I would love to hear how you come up with all of those scriptures.
ANYONE THAT WAS IN DEEP
I want to hear your story.
