my husband came home the other day and said he heard about something really disgusting.

he said a friend of his had told him a story about this guy in germany.

he put an internet ad looking for another man to slaughter.

It is said that the perpetrator is mad about the "victim" because he lied about his age. He was much older and that - of course - has an influence on the meat quality...

I told on JWD that I attended a workshop by German exit-counselor Dieter Rohmann, a collegue and friend of Steve Hassan, in September last year.

Rohmann explained to be suspicious when someone tries to draw a black and white picture. That is rarely the case, nobody is all good or all bad.

Saddam Hussein is a good example where propaganda is trying to draw a black and white picture. (Now decide which way you look at it.)

It is from the Berean Bible Teachers' Manual composed by C. Woodworth and G. Seibert and published by the WTS.

It is still distributed by the Bible Students, mostly as the Expanded Commentary that also contents the comments from the WT after 1908.

Gen 15:9 The ages of the animals offered by Abraham regated eleven years, which, applied prophetically, on the scale of a year for a day, equal 3960 years, the length of time from the date of the Abrahamic covenant, 2045 B.C., to A.D. 1915

The text just says:

"And he said unto him, Take me a heifer three years old, and a she-goat three years old, and a ram three years old, and a turtle-dove, and a young pigeon."

It is one thing to say that the animals are eleven years old. It is still another thing to put this to 3960 years from 2045 to 1915.

I, too, gave my kids biblical names. I rather found them in the cast of some American movies. :-)

In Germany everything is regulated and the officer can reject a name you want wo give to your kid. I once read in the newspapers that parents were rejected who wanted to give their offspring the name "Satan".
