  i have read here in some posts that one of the new releases this year is a brochure, "look!

  the beautiful country!

  ", containing maps.. when it was released, does anyone know if the speaker mentioned how much better the maps in the brochure were than "worldly maps"?.

  In Germany they did not print enough of this stuff. Many convention visitors did not get a Map-brochure.

  The report said they have NO retirement plan.

  Either you stay at Bethel until death or they send you to a congregation as a Special Pioneer.

  There was a court case that resulted in the agreement that the WTS pays the retirement insurance when someone leaves Special Service. Then they pay the insurance for the time he was in Special Service. That is the lowest possible contribution but it is the one also churches pay for their nuns and monks when they leave. (There was a court case as well.)

  But they have to apply for it. There have been cases when the WTS said: "That does not fit your case." but after the former Fulltime Servant pointed to the court agreement the WTS paid.

  Next Wednesday, July 2nd, 23:30h (German time) a 45-min-documentary is being broadcast about JW in Germany trying to get hold of the status of a Public Body in Germany. That meant they get the same priviledges other churches have in Germany. They have been at court since 1990 and even were at the highest German court. They somehow won but the case has been redirected to a lower court to check human rights, how they treat apostates and children.
  
  There are no commercials on ARD so that will be full 45min.

  this is a letter i just wrote to the britannica.com customer service to complain about the copyright violations in the information given to me by members of the bowie, maryland kingdom hall.

  I they copied just a definition and even made it clear where it came from than it is fair use according to copyright laws.

  The New Kids Book Release; Letter Ideas.

  i think that it would be a good idea to give a copy of that picture of armageddon to any letters that you send to any politicians, legal court cases, whatever the case may be.. the picture is absolutley disgusting, and shows blatant mind control.

  a copy of that in with a letter to any politician would wake them the hell up as to what kind of cult this is!

  maybe a follow-up letter with the picture enclosed?

  If you want a copy you have to go to a District Assembly. IIRC the release is at the end of Saturday. So when you go there on Saturday at 5 p.m. or on Sunday you can get hold of the new releases.
  
  The releases are not in the KH before the beginning of the new service year, that is Sep 1st.

  The new book for children.

  my wife went to the convention yesterday and brought back the new book for children 'learn from the great teacher'.. it's certainly much better than the old pink book, larger and more colourful, even if the pictures have a 1950's feel to them.

  the introduction mentions that there are questions throughout the book that you should ask children to find out what is on their mind... saying ' true, the child may come out with with answers that are not correct.

  but the printed material that follows each question is designed to help the child to develop wholesome patterns of thinking'.... 'wholesome patterns of thinking' eh?

  I think this picture is bad enough in itself. We do not have to look for pictured that are constructed in our brain.
