  From Oct 19 -21 I attended a second workshop by Dieter Rohmann. This time it was about building an own life outside the cult and about finding ones own values. About half of the participants had also attended the workshop last year.

  What happened recently at the Greek WTS Branch Office?

  a member at the german board http://www.infolink-forum.de reported that a jw pioneer couple in austria was invited in may 2003 to move to greece because several members of the greek branch office have been dismissed and/or disfellowshipped.

  this couple declined and now jw from other countries are to run the greek branch office.

  can anybody confirm this and explain what has happened?

  Seen any good movies lately?

  the husband and i went to see "house of the dead" the other night, and 30 minutes into it we had to leave because it was so horrible.

  rarely have i seen such bad acting outside of a highschool drama performance, and i have never left during a movie.. thing is, i love going to the movies, so it was a major disappointment.

  have you seen any good ones lately?

  *** The Annual General Meeting 2003 ***

  ok, no one seemed to notice, but the annual general meeting came and went around october 4th i think.. did anyone go, know anyone that went, or know what may have been discussed?.

  apparently, there are a limited number of tickets issued.

  part of the meeting is a business meeting.

  it is supposed to be kept quiet, what is said at the annual meetings...that it would be untheocratic to tell others at the KH what had been discussed.

  I do not think this is right. During my active years I would get a tape with the whole Annual Meeting (not the part with the business related topics) each year.

  Last year I attended an XJW workshop, I wrote here about my experiences. The workshop was conducted by Dieter Rohmann (http://www.kulte.de), a psychologist and a collegue of Steven Hassen. The idea came from a support group in the South of Germany.
  
  A woman and me were the only participant from the north of Germany. We noticed that there was nothing similar in Northern Germany (except two very religious movement).
  
  It took almost a year but now we decided to start our own support group in Hamburg. In Hamburg there is an organization called KISS (German acronym for Contact and Information Point for Support Groups). They help support groups of any kind, mostly from a health background but there is i.e. also a group of former members of the Newapostolic Church (which is the biggest Christian cult in Germany).
  
  KISS provide a room and even distribute the groups' press releases. I am very happy that by means of that we are independant from ressources of any church.
  
  The first of our monthly meetings will be in the beginning of October.
  
  So far I have advertized on the Internet but I am excited how many will react to the press releases.

  has the km already announced in which month the new "great teacher"-book is to be placed in service?

  i think it would be a good idea to write a press release that particular month to warn the public about the contents of this "book for children".

  Since I left the JW I have voted twice: once on federal scale (i contributed to the the current German chancellor), once on local scale
