UFO's may be a way of understanding Jesus.....(what did he just say???)
by Terry insometimes people with ordinary understandings and expectations encounter things outside their experience.. they deal with it and move on.
they tell people and answer questions.. eventually, somebody explains it and the incident (and the story) goes underground.. .
......only to re-emerge.. if it is an unusual incident or report eventually there will be others who come along.

So everyone who has seen a UFO has not "seen" a UFO, but has "seen" something else?
Terry, I think Night Owl's question is warranted. You cannot, and I reapeat, cannot say that "everyone" who claims having seen a UFO has not seen a UFO. The mere name UFO implies that it is a flying object that cannot be identified. Implying that "always" when people see something that you do not believe in, or cannot understand or explain with what we already know from the world "at this point in time" is not what they saw, is simply a bit arrogant.
It is true that "mostly" when people refer to UFOs, they are thinking of alien crafts but that is not the case "always" if we go by what the acronym UFO stands for. I guess my point is that there are, in fact, objects in the sky that cannot be identified or, in other words, they cannot be paired with known objects that, according to our knowledge at this time, could be found flying in the sky. Now, if you are referring to the "interpretation" that this people give to what they saw, then you might have a point.
Here is one example of several people seeing something that they could not explain. What did they see? If you remove the interpretations, there is always the fact, that they saw what they saw, even on a radarscope, and could not explain it, therefore UFOs

Good jokes Wolfman, and nicely translated that the punch lines didn't go lost. I knew the first one in spanish (also my first language) but the second is a perfect complement of it. Love it.
White dove, buena suerte with your improving your spanish.

Why I Left Jehovah's Witnesses--a 10-page essay by sd-7
by sd-7 inwhy i left jehovahs witnesses.
they can be painful to bear, but sometimes that is part of life in a setting with many people and their various personalities.. it was my examination of evidence that did lead me to leave jehovahs witnesses.
they, of course, had failed to bear proper witness to his name.

I definitely reflects lots of the reasons why I myself took that decision as well. However I have never put down in an organized way the reason I had for leaving, and reading your essay has given me a very interesting and worthwhile goal. Kudos to you!

I love to read and have always read, even as a kid, and even though I was properly indoctrinated as a kid, I did read non WTS books to a small extent. Well, I've taken that up again with a vengeance. I love investigating stuff, specially with the help of the internet, I am not a conspiracy theorist or a believer in conspiracies per se, but I do tend to give them a chance to present their cases. So I do read about UFOs, forbidden archeology and things of the sort, trying to see if the claimed things are feasable.
On the other hand, I spend time training and improving my physical health, specially since I now know that the New Order as explained by the WTS won't come and we most likely will have to deal with old age.
And last, but not least, I am a big fan of the Android OS and spend time installing new custom ROMs and tweaking and reporting bugs to the developers. At them moment I'm playing with "Ice Cream Sandwich" (Android 4.0.1) on my Galaxy s i9000.
Watching movies and TV series is also something me and my girlfriend enjoy doing together.

why JWs doesn't celebrate birthday?
by vientotz ini'm so curious, why they're not celebrating their birthdays?
is it just because jesus don't celebrate it and it's not written in the bible that they celebrated the birthday of jesus?
or is it written in the bible not to celebrate birthday?

Hi viento, I think the feeling of the majority here is that if you want to really be true to yourself and keep your mental health, you should stop studying with the JWs. Period. However, I can very well understand your desire to continue to study and find out for yourself if that, what is said here, is the "Truth about the Truth". If that is the case, make sure you make a good investigation before committing to anything.
The problem is not that people who become JWs are bad, the problem is that, in their case, it happens what a wise man once explained: "Man spends half of his life searching for the truth and, once he thinks he found it, spends the other half defending it agains all odds" and it doesn't matter if that truth is a fantasy, he'll still defend it against everything. It turns into an "ideology" and "dogma" which I define as follows: dogma - as the result of what other people thoughts and conclusions and Ideology - as doing what you are told regardless of what is right.
You are your own individual, and if you feel the need to investigate for yourself to be able to make an informed decision, go ahead, it's YOUR right. However, make the investigation like a judge does, listen to and weigh both sides and only then make a decision.
You have a BIG advantage, you're not a JW yet, you're just studying, which actually puts you in a very advantageous situation, because you can ask lots of questions.
By the way, what is your first language? Is it spanish? Given that viento means wind in spanish, just being curious.

There is a book and a video on Youtube which basically goes to show that from all the fakes and hoaxes, there is about a 5% that cannot be explained just like that, and are definitely UFOs, meaning unidentified objects...
