New Light
by jefferywhat ini swear more new light is available here than in the corridors of the wts.
in leviticus the israelites are instructed not to eat things strangled or already dead, but if they do, they are only unclean, not stoned to death.
so why has it been upgraded by the wts to be this unforgivable sin?

I knew I would get answers!!
All of the responses have been amazing, thank you all and I look forward to further advice.
I am currently pioneering, into my 12 year( smaal break in between) I find it interesting to talk the the R&F and make them think, dont worry I am very clever.
I bring up contentious issues but only those found in Questions from readers on the CD rom, I swear this method is the ultimate loop hole, people respect you for doing " extra personal study" and they let their guard down because its from the FDS!!
Anyway, I was talking to the group today about how twice the gb in the 1st century said to abstain from blood, but they put Blood, fornication and Things sacrificed to idols in the same sentence.
The GB now has upgraded the blood issue to fornication but forget that "things sacrificed to idols", according to Paul was a conscience matter. The reasoning is so inconsistent!!!
The response from everyone.........well we just dont get into those subjects because it seems unimportant!!!
AARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
They dedicated their life to this and they dont care if it accurate or not!!
Why does the GN hang onto this so tightly? What are the politics involved here? Do they feel because the so call first century gb said it they do? Is it a case of "what they said"?
Lastly, with the scripture that says cut off, did that only apply if they did the killing and the eating, because if they didnt do the killing, you were not cut off for eating the meat.
Also, does anyone know the root meaning of the Hebrew expression "cut off", why was this not translated " certainly put to death"?

I can almost see the matrix!
by jefferywhat ini have been posting on here for a few months now.
i know sometimes i seem like a mole( had to research that one) and sometimes a wt defender and other times a bit confused.
i feel like i need to make a position statement as i never really introduced myself.

my goodness....the response is so insipid!
I would have thought that if one states that they are a witness, have and are serving and want to stay faithful to the WTBTS that he would be treated with respect, he got shut down and basically told he needed help.
That actually scares me.
Is he still a witness?
The constant insistence that they are the only ones with the answers is so 1553!!
God help me. -

I know sometimes I seem like a mole( had to research that one) and sometimes a WT defender and other times a bit confused.
I feel like I need to make a position statement as I never really introduced myself.
These are the current issues I have:
1. Global Flood.
2. FDS myth
3. Blood transfusions
4. False prophecy
5. Absolute power and discouragement of debate
6. No apologies
7. Absolute control over every aspect of ones life.
8. How we have become a religion, with man made rules, cultural unwritten rules and lack of spirituality in 99% of members.
9. Focus on things, facts and outward appearances and not on personal growth.
10. 144000 being literal.
11. GB asserting themselves as our "ark" and our salvation is dependent on our obedience to them.
12. Jesus and Michael supposedly the same.
Thats about it for now.
Im working though these one by one, trying to find out how I really feel. Points 1,2,3 and 12 I intend to write a letter to bethel for their feedback.
Any other posters that have sent letters on these subjects and have received a response I would really appreciate a copy.
Thats all for now, the jury is out for now, hope to find the answers. -

I know I have put this forward rather lightly but im sure this has been discussed before and Im assuming someone had written to the WTS for an explanation, which I intend to do.
Any previous threads that could help/expand?
It bizzare ow you can go your whole life accepting all you hear, you only have to take half a step back and it changes everything.
Hope to get some feedback

Hi tijkmo,
I hate to hear of DFing stories, I hate the whole idea of it.
When I say the process works, I am not referring to the fantasy story of the elders will work out Jehovahs thoughts, that is the biggest load of BS I have ever heard, do any ex elders on here ever really believe this?
My dad is not a witness and is a lawyer and I spent alot of time talking to him about the whole thing.
I believe if you stick to basics, i.e, you feel like you were prejudged, you really are repentant, your relationship with Jah is fine, that you have confessed to him, they do not have a scriptural leg to stand on, unless of course its a major scandal, that makes it harder.
My brother is baptized and not living a christian life at all, he doesn't go to meetings but associates with witnesses.
He , for some strange reason felt the need to confess and asked two elders around.....they came around heard what he had to say and believe me it was alot, at the end the PO of the local cong just listened and when they stood up to leave, he gave my brother a big bear hug and told him how much he cared about him and thanked him for his honesty, said a prayer and left, they still associate with him.
This little story makes me realise, its up to the local body what happens, and if your on the outer, its harder to battle, but you can go above them, they hate it, my PO had spit coming out of his mouth in anger, but you can do it if you think its valid, and who knows , the CO might have flagged a problem and your taking it further is just what they want to get rid of a fool.
I hope when its my generation running the show that this mediaeval practice is abandoned, for everyones sake. -

I have a theory. Please take my poll!
by changeling ini'd like you all to tell me 2 or 3 things:.
1- were you raised a witness or not?.
2-if you were, was your family very "theocratic" or not so much?.
-
jefferywhat
1. Yes
2. Very theocratic (divided household)
3. Christian -

Dear Mr Frank 75,
Firstly, I was not criticizing jakesnake at all, my comment was really a follow of to a comment by JK666, that there is a follow up process and if you want to stay a witness or avoid the DF'ing, there is a remedy, I found that out, pursued it and was successful.
Dont presume to brand me as naive, you dont know me and if you havent got the time to get to know me, dont judge or assume, thats what old lazy men do and I assume that description does not fit you!
It took me 9 months to "win" my little battle and cost me dearly in both my reputation( R&F dont like to see you questioning the BOE) and my wife (same attitude), so would say its possible but a difficult road.
However, if you dont want to be a "victim" take control, this board is full of people who have done just that.
Jakesnake, all Im saying is "Illegitimi non carborundum", this is our family moto and I got alot of support from my family for standing up for my beliefs, you will get that support here, PM if you want some advice on how to beat the system.
For some great reading go to http://www.watchtowerletters.com/our_letter_elders.html.
This has to be the best letter I have ever read, mine was good, this is inspired!!!( Joke)

I didnt have an official JC, but in principle it was the same thing.( long story)
I appealed, it was unsuccessful, I wrote to bethel, they sent in the CO, the CO overturned the decision.
If you firmly believe that you're repentant and are in an approved state with jehovah, and have confessed honestly to him, they are hard pressed to disagree, you just have to be prepared to follow it through.
The process actually works if you want it to. -

What next?
by jefferywhat inso in the last year two major qfr came out, one on the fds not being any more special than the gc in terms of enlightenment and the second being that 1935 is no longer a "thing".
this was followed up with a change of the generation being the fds.
then numbers go up this year and apparently, alot of the new converts in the fertile lands of mexico are claiming to be of the anointed.
