i hear there is more "new light" in this magazine.

nothing as big as the "generation" change or scrapping 1935 for the annointed.

it might be something to do with some of jesus' parables.

I touched on this some time back.
One of the changes is re the dragnet.

The WT 92 says What was to happen to the separated fine fish? Verse 48 says that the angelic fishermen-separators "collected the fine [fish] into vessels, but the unsuitable they threw away." The vessels are protective containers into which fine fish are put. Has this occurred in our time? Definitely. As symbolic fine fish have been caught alive, they have been gathered into congregations of true Christians. These vessellike congregations have helped to protect and to reserve them for divine service, do you not agree? Still, someone could think, ‘This is all well and good, but what does it have to do with my present life and my future?’

then goes on:
You likely know that after 1919 the anointed remnant got busy in the preaching work in cooperation with the angels, who continued to use the symbolic dragnet to haul fish onto the beach, to separate the fine ones from the unsuitable ones. Statistics from that period show that the catch of fine fish for anointing with God’s spirit continued as the last ones of the 144,000 were gathered by the symbolic net. (Revelation 7:1-4) But by the mid-1930’s, the collecting of fine fish for anointing with holy spirit basically ended. Was the congregation of the anointed remnant then to discard the net, as it were, and simply sit idle, waiting for their heavenly reward? Not at all!
But the change is regarding the following :
Recall from the illustration that not all fish drawn up by the dragnet experience a favorable outcome. Jesus said that the unsuitable, or wicked, ones will be separated from the righteous ones. To what end? At Matthew 13:50, Jesus described the serious consequence for the unsuitable, or wicked, fish. These will be cast into the fiery furnace, meaning eternal destruction.—Revelation 21:8.

The change is that jut becasue you have been brought into the congregation of anointed chrisitians does not mean you are a "fine fish"

This could be a precurser to the changes in preaching, where it could take on a more internal focus.

2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

This is an old thread but where I stated that there will be changes made that are so big old timers wont deal with it.

Book study is gone, we know that now.

Next comes theocratic structure PO, Co etc.

Then comes the change in witnessing ( big one!!)

Then come the change in name, bigger again.

And more........

3 a.m. - my wife is in tears! What do I do?

well my situation has developed a bit, any advice appreciated.. their has been a gradual building up of pressure ever since i stood down as an elder about 6 months ago.. i have been telling my wife about my doubts but have continued to attend "some" meetings.. as time has progressed i have become more open with my criticism of the org.. i mentioned the un scandal, molestation trials, false prophecy ect etc.. interestingly she does not deny these facts and yet still wants to continue as a jw.. i told her that god is not happy with people knowingly being part of a false prophet (deut 18 - etc) - starting to lay the groundwork for my exit.. she appreciates the difficult situation doubters are in - they cannot openly express their feelings for fear of jcs.. anyway, a few weeks ago we moved house which meant changing congregation.. but i felt it would be best if i did not attend meetings " at all" at the new cong so my fade could be easier.. but i could not have predicted my wifes response - when i told her it was an explosion of emotion, i mean real heartbreaker stuff.. she seems depressed at the prospect, perhaps the reality is finally hitting home.. last night, about 3a.m.

i noticed that she was not in bed.

i went downstairs and she was sobbing away to herself.. "i can't go to that hall myself!

Mate, thats heavy.

I think you will find that alot of the emotion is based on the "hope" you once both shared.

You not believing in the org anymore also includes the hope asserted by the org which is living forever on earth.

Whist the reality is the org is flawed, we are taught its meant to be and that it doesnt change the hope and Jehovahs approval.

She is grieving now.

jw's frequently say that the first human couple were "perfect" and would have lived forever until they gave up perfection by their disobedience.. however, closer reading of the genesis account shows that they were never perfect, instead, they were designed to grow old and die, just like the rest of the animals.

jehovah has adam name all the animals, but finds that none of the animals is suitable as a companion (wonder how this was determined)?.

jehovah clones a companion for adam, and tells them to not eat the fruit of a certain tree, or they will die "in that very day".

The tree of life meant they had immortality or they become a "life unto themselves", namely they dont rely on God for life.

3 Baptized at our latest Special Assembly Day at Bristol

our special assembly day at bristol assembly hall has just finished.

as i've said before in october 07 http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/144194/1.ashx regarding the last two day assembly weekend.

the numbers are still down.

The old CA cost report always gets a reactions.

Our went like this.

We had "x" amount left over from last time.

This time we are "-x".

Taking into account the cost of this assembly we are now "x-4 Billion Pound" behind which amounts to 2 pounds each.

The last SAD there was an audible gasp from the crowd.
