From what I can see ALLAH has the same root (meaning) as YAHWEH {JEHOVAH).
"I am"; "I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be";
Apparently, from what I have read, Allah in Arabic actually means "God", just like "El" or
"Elohim", "El'im", "Eloi" (God/Gods) or "God".
Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachtani? (‘My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?’)
Interestingly I remember that followers of Islam use the crescent moon and therefore worship the Moon or other astro-bodies (Jordan Maxwell ?). Interestingly the Moon God "Sin" fits some descriptions of YAHWEH/JESUS, As an wise old man white hair, etc
"the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah, i.e. "the deity," meaning that he was the chief or high god among the gods. As Coon pointed out, "The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God." The Moon-god was called al-ilah, i.e. the god, which was shortened to Allah IN PRE-ISLAMIC TIMES. The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For example, both Muhammad's father and uncle had Allah as part of their names."

Now there is the "Black Stone", the "Kabah" (a cube) "worshipped" by Islam. Also Jacob apparently used a stone (possibly like the "black stone") in the anointing of Beth-El (House of God)
Also I remember from Jeporday! a little while ago, that, was it around 700 ?, that the language went from Hebrew (Is-Ra-El) to Arabic.
Theres much more I could go on about but I can't remember it all, and it is late.. but please let me know what you think.

well they were simply called Bible Students until the WTS of PA Corp was created, along with the International Bible Students Association, Corp, which still exists today with the WTS of PA&NY. So as far as I can tell Bible Students are JW's, (I mean that the International Bible Students Association is a JW Corporation] besides those who are Bible Students following the original teachings of C.T Russell. Oh and Russell was not the first president of the WTS of PA, apparently. I think.

Satan overkill
by Switch ini remember in my teen years thinking about the constant warnings of satan "transforming himself into an angel of light" and wondering how in the world did i stand a chance against a demon?!
a demon thats had thousands of years to suss things out and trick people in various different ways without them even knowing.
he led angels to rebellion.

what i find strange is why the WTS focuses on demons so much.... like I mean the dramas and stuff in the DC's. I remeber a few years ago they had a drama i think it was from like Luke or something and they had this recording for the drama with this possesed woman screaming.... that really freaked me out when I heard that...... it was really over the top, even many who I knew who saw the drama thought so.... also...... was it last years DC where the WTS wanted us to read the account of Jesus and the possesed swine and they narrated the swine with some audio and stuff and they were all like "Try to imagine being there, etc" and I couldnt help wonder why anyone would really want to imagine that particular account. I mean this is a DC with loud speakers and lots of babys and little kids and stuff... its a bit much I think. sorry if this post is totally off topic, i just felt like sharing......

Sin
by Aleman inwhat is sin?
sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral rule, or the state of having committed such a violation.
sin is often used to mean an action that is prohibited or considered wrong; in some religions (notably some sects of christianity), sin can refer to a state of mind rather than a specific action.

well... actually Sin is a Sumerian God ! lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin_(mythology) I dont really believe in the concept of sin so much, expect for the concept of what is socially and legally accepted as wrong and wright.

i cant say how I know this, but in "my area", the Elders (and the congregations) already have an internal web system where they report congregational stuff and what not, as far as I know. I am not exactly sure of everything they can do on it, but I believe that they do report a few things and can download books and what not. I could be wrong, but I have seen and heard of it personally.
