Thank you all for your advice. I know you mean well but its too late to go back now, I've already told them I'm going to do it. Honestly sometimes I feel like I have a split personality, jw me and whatever the real me is. I guess the Jehovah's witness in me just took over this time. :( I feel so alone and I just want to be accepted.

I'm getting baptized
by BlackWolf ini know i've started similar topics before but this time i'm serious.
my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.
i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.

I have no friends and no family to go to if I refused to be baptized and my parents kicked me out. I'm deciding to play it safe for now and maybe when I'm an adult and I move away I can fade. I don't know what else to do? I home school and I've got no friends at all, my immediate family is all I have. I can't afford to get on their bad side or my life will be 10x worse than it already is.

Why is Mother's Day wrong?
by stuckinarut2 inso why is celebrating mother's day wrong according to witnesses?.
is it not an opportunity to show respect to the giver of life (mother) and therefore god, the originator of families?.
does it not give an opportunity for members of the family to give a hard working mother a day off?

I was about to ask the same question, but really it all comes down to jws being anti fun. They hate when your having fun doing something not related to jwdom, it could be a "distraction". And they hate it even more when your appreciating someone other than jehover and jw.Borg.

New Spiritually Weak Label: Not Using Tablet/iPhone
by Doubtfully Yours inwith last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.
damn it!!!
am i alone in this resistance???!!!.

I was quite glad when my grandmother bought me and my 3 siblings tablets last year to use for jw.Borg! I've never brought mine to the meeting once, I prefer to read on paper and kill some more of the watchtowers precious trees. I use my tablet to play games on and read apostate sites, its pretty fun. ;) -

Were you beaten as a child?
by purrpurr ini've been confronting my mother with her dubious parenting skills (abuse) of me as a child.
particularly the beatings i would get with the wooden spoon.
not a light smack but hitting me as hard as she could for as long as she could.

Yes me and my three siblings have been slapped, punched, and spanked in every way. We still are. I'll admit there are a few times we may have deserved it but most of the time it is just unnecessary. A few months ago I had told my dad that I didn't want to go meeting and he slapped me on the face so hard it swelled up. I haven't complained since. :( -

New ANTI-GAY video for Kids on jw.org
by ttdtt inhttps://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/family/children/become-jehovahs-friend/videos/one-man-one-woman-marriage/.
disgusting!.

Man! My dads probably gonna make us watch this crap at our next family worship, and then my moms going to go on and on about how disgusting gay people are like usual. Little do they know I'm actually bisexual :( This video makes me sad.
Edit: my mom just watched it and she thought it was risque!

Any thought behind your " Avatar"
by The Rebel ini think that's the correct phrase?
anyway when i first came here, that little picture that "the rebel" hides behind, was a self portrait of a very sad man, who simply had too much knowledge.
now i feel after 7 months here, i should repaint that " avetor" give some happiness to the eyes, and a contented smile to the lips.. in short my " avetor" was a self portrait of a man with too much knowledge.

Mine is of course another play on the sheep metaphor. I'm the apostate, a wolf hiding in sheep's clothing. ;) -

what do you think is the main reason why so many young ones are waking up?
by Crazyguy inseems as though the number of baptisms even for the young ones is down from what people report here.
at my former hall the young ones are all in totally sheltered even while going to school.
expressing thier desires to pioneer etc.

BlackWolf
I agree with everyone. I'm 16 and the easy access to the internet I get from having a tablet has really helped me to learn ttatt (although I had doubts before). The few kids at the hall who are genuinely zealous must either have limited access to the internet or just be really stupid. -

Any other teenagers on here?
by BlackWolf ini'm 16 and it seems like most the people on this forum are adults.
i would think since most teenagers have tablets/smartphones there would be more on here but maybe not?
it would be nice to meet some other young people.

Well thanks everybody. I was hoping to find somebody else who is awake, whose parents are still in to be my friend. That way we don't have to be fake with each other and our parents won't know anything about it ;) I live in Florida so if you know anybody like that around here, let me know. I'll definitely check out the reddit though.
