There is no hiding place for the WT anymore!!! As i said in another post my mantra is a quote by Justice Brandeis "Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman." That cult has effectively destroyed my family but I am currently with the support of my husband enrolled in university studying Social Work. I find it ironic after years indoctrination about "wicked worldly" people the commission comprises of some of the best legal brains and a passion for human rights and social justice Its Terms of reference state: AND it is important that claims of systemic failures by institutions in relation to allegations and incidents of child sexual abuse and any related unlawful or improper treatment of children be fully explored, and that best practice is identified so that it may be followed in the future both to protect against the occurrence of child sexual abuse and to respond appropriately when any allegations and incidents of child sexual abuse occur, including holding perpetrators to account and providing justice to victims.

Splash, Watching the live streaming today one of the elders who was woefully under-educated as to current policy and procedures with dealing with child abuse. (WT style just doesn't cut it in the real light of day). Some not all of the elders they are going to call and in a similar position mindlessly following "the societies directives". The ones that I know of are all blue collar workers, low educational attainment who put on a suit and tie and magically transform into elders with disproportionate power over all and sundry especially sisters. I stayed muzzled by the two witness policy for over a decade even obediently going on a bible study with my child's abuser). So good to see all their elders special books (that even their wives where not to see been shown as all smoke and mirrors in the light of day) Our former prime minister Julia Gillard set up the commission and said"Australians know... that too many children have suffered child abuse, but have also seen other adults let them down - they've not only had their trust betrayed by the abuser but other adults who could have acted to assist them have failed to do so.
"There have been too many revelations of adults who have averted their eyes from this evil.

As far as I understand the Australian Royal commission is appointed under legislation and has wide ranging coercive powers of investigation on these royal commissions (e.g. abilities to call and cross-examine witnesses, obtain evidence while also providing protection to witnesses and inquiry members from legal action such as defamation. My dealings as an ex member who has submitted a lengthy submission to the inquiry has been a positive one with counseling and support offered by the commission. And you need it!! Even just putting in a written submisiion about that cult is a very traumatic experience because you are so controlled by fear of retribution) When I read the up and coming witnesses list for the next two weeks I personally (used to )know some of the elders they are going to call and its not going to be pretty!! I felt that one of those elders today (not Jackson) was a sacrificial lamb. Wonder how far up the food chain we will get to see. -

It was great! two weeks to go of probing questions using their literature. The Australian news are already talking about criminal liability for "concealment". Watching the live streaming Jackson made me feel physically sick he was so smug and self righteous. And absolutely no clue about the victims perspective?? how many times over the course of the day did both elders say "Don't know would contact legal department at branch headquarters??" -

Just two weeks in our new home and the knock at the door happens!!
by truthseekeriam injust relaxing with my morning coffee enjoying looking at the pictures fipper shared of the camping trip when the dreaded knock came.
of course the dogs beat me to the door followed by my daughter trying to catch them, she looks through the giant peep hole and waves me away saying "its them.
" i almost just walked away from the door when i saw the sweet face of a 5/6 year old little boy with his mom and dad and couldn't resist talking to them.. i opened the door and smiled and said jehovah's witnesses?

Thanks so much truthseekeriam, Have made a nine page submission to the Australian Royal Commission. Will not allow that publishing organisation more oxygen than it deserves so getting on as a family trying to live a honest happy and productive life. Best revenge is to live well! (I absolutely refuse to cal them a religion they distort everything good about spirituality and faith) I agree with you that they (as an organisation) have absolutely no regard for the basic human rights and their policies and procedures for dealing with abuse not only child abuse but spousal abuse ect will be shown up in public forums as disgraceful, criminal conduct that exposed its adherents to moral and physical danger. Also sites like this, facts and white- anting them eg, that wonderful poster in USA will eventually reveal their dark core. -

she's got them before, but not in very touchy subjects.
she was willing to seat down with me and look over some websites talking about some very controversial subjects that i do not dare to write about at the moment.

Took along time to trust and also org in stills such fear you think you'll be struck by lightning at the computer! How I was treated by JW and Org was what got me searching for info and support. Husband has been my rock but no pressure. -

Witnesses have been so used to mindlessly talking from the script door to door and its so good that you provided information to help them to think outside of WT parameters. I approached two brothers at a trolley to question them about their two witness policy(my 5 year old child was abused by a prominent elder and we obediently stayed muzzled for 12 years under two witness policy) resulting in a terrible mental, emotional and physical cost to our entire family. The older "brother" smug slave (who had never met me before) very patronizingly informed me I must have my facts wrong because he was absolutely sure that the brothers/ Jehovah's organisation in my case would have handled things correctly. (I am third generation family full of anointed and elders but somehow questioning them in public somehow transforms me into a stupid women). In our case I was told that the "investigating elder" took his friend the accused molester camping because reporting my child's abuse had stressed him! Never hurts to share knowledge especially to WT slaves who are under such deep mind control. Been there done that! have the scars.
