August Study WT "Prepare Now to be a Good Little Drone in the New Order"
by JW_Rogue ini thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?
not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.
still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

The org is also bolstered by the matrichal power of elders wives who are co invested in the power/prestige.......they need to keep enough young breeders in.....(the hand that rocks the cradle) -

Paint, Barney, and Jehovah
by John Aquila ini made a quick run to lowes to buy some paint and ran into a brother.
he is one of those elders that is very, very, petty.
if he drops by your house unexpected and notices that your kids are watching one of the star wars movies, he will counsel you for allowing your kids to watch any movie that has to do with war he will then make sure you are not recommended for any privilege.

Watchtower can cite their sources after all
by wannaexit inas far as i can remember watchtower has been notorious for not citing their sources in their literature.
the most they will do is to cite their in house, long living expert by the name of scholar.
after 40 + years all i've ever read is the mantra "one scholar says" ad nauseum.

Oubliette Great detailed reply good for me to revisit!
Because this is a cult and if I tell you what I really think and how I really feel you'll throw the religious equivalent of a temper tantrum and disfellowship me and then everyone I know will shun me. Duh! -

Been there done that!! all that emotional blackmail. Really hard when I realized that black and white thinking is so entrenched my "anointed parent" loved me on the condition that I was either a witness or demonized.....fast forward as far as I can tell not demonized, marriage intact. Does any "loving" god or family really want us to sit and pretend to worship him in a kingdom hall or anywhere??? Be happy, be whole. I have never bothered to disassociate myself. its none of there business who I speak to or what I do....remember WT works because its a high control cult....don't' play the game.... -

I am still shocked that I actually took medical advice putting the wellbeing of my family/children from a publishing organisation and elders who the Royal Commission showed "can't remember anything". oh dear! -

Blondie's Comments - WT propaganda - Worst living conditions in world history
by berrygerry inparagraph 13. .
ever since [ 1914 ], mankind has experienced the truthfulness of these inspired words: woe for the earth and for the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.. i cannot believe how dubs allow themselves to be convinced that the world is getting worse and worse each year.. poverty -.

So good to be away from all that doom and gloom!!! This information is from JW.FACTS:
Despite a lack of reliable scientific studies, there is consistent indication of high levels of mental illness amongst Jehovah's Witnesses. There are a number of reasons why this could be the case - isolation from general society, an unrealistic view of the world and the destructive nature of the threat of disfellowshipping. Total reliance on a leadership that claim angelic direction, yet have a string of failed prophecies and doctrines, leads members to fear the religion may be wrong but fear leaving, leading to cognitive dissonance. Those that do leave are often inadequately prepared for life and lack a support group that would normally be developed in a healthy upbringing. Additionally, people with mental illness can be attracted to religious groups and the loving brotherhood that they promise. And they wonder why????
