JW woman in Australia murdered by abusive husband
by OrphanCrow in*full article and video at link.
gold coast mcdonalds shooting: victim had left abusive husband.
stephen lock was a controlling and abusive husband who turned to drugs to try to level his volatile moods.. his wife karina, 49, was a devout jehovahs witness who, for religious reasons, stayed with him until she could take it no more.. friends of the couple have revealed details of their tumultuous relationship, which ended tragically in gunfire at a mcdonalds restaurant yesterday morning..

1) How long have you been a fader for?
4 years
2) How often do you still get pressure from congregation members and/or family to return as an active witness?
For a couple of years but only ones considered "strong in truth" eg, pioneers or elders would come because Mr Possum would ask them questions they found difficult to answer. moved away. most don't return calls or keep in contact. Treated as dead.
3) What is the longest period you have ever known anyone to successfully fade? A successful fade in my view, would be someone who has faded for a period of time but no longer receives any pressure to return to active service (completely left alone).
dont know
4) If you have been a fader for more than two years, do you fear you would eventually have to face DA or DF?
Don't fear any penalty from WT. Don't see it as a legitimate organisation. Who cares?
5) As faders, how many of you are being treated as if you were DF'd/DA'd?
Never DF'd or DA'd but treated as dead shunned.
6) Have you faded rather than DA'd due to the possible loss family or is it because you have no network of friends outside the Org?
We could not protect the abuser of our child with two witness rule any longer. Disloyalty for breaking code of silence is rejection all friends and family. Faded from sheer frustration, anger and disappointment.
7) If you consider yourself a fader how many meetings/assemblies/ field service groups do you still attend on average per month?
None,Never,ever!!
8) As a fader do you feel that the Org is completely powerless over your life?
Our association with that cult has left us with shattered lives and psychological scars. However, we are in control of our lives and the healing process. Knowledge is power and we continue to learn through forums like this and university education. Martin Luther King JR.' "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity".

Nitty-Gritty
Institutional abuse in the RC context means abuse by elders or others reported to the elders/organisation but not dealt with appropriately eg, reported to the child protection or police. The courageous woman giving evidence was a victim of abuse by her father eg, incest. Cults like JW are a perfect place for acts of abuse sexual or not to be carried out with impunity as it is patriarchal protected by a patriarchy. And JW as a high control cult is very aware of what goes on in families to the most intimate details of married brothers and sisters sex lives or they wouldn't have rules and police eg, oral sex masturbation. And the fact they try to control sex and sexuality gives the JWs a very warped vision of healthy sexuality and gender. How many parents have confessed to priests about abuse and never been reported to police?? The commission also made it plain that many of the persons who contacted them where in a pretty bad shape emotionally/mentally and even if their stories didn't fit the brief "institutional abuse" they at least had their stories acknowledged.

When my daughter gave evidence in person(prior to the public hearings) the commission told her and me that JW where the worst they had dealt with and they received many more submissions then they could deal with because a large proportion of them dealt with incest not "Institutional" abuse. They where shocked!!!!! -

Maybe because in Australia we had one very senior Cardinal Pell (who has since gone to head office Vatican) who was particularly slimy......??? -

August Study WT "Prepare Now to be a Good Little Drone in the New Order"
by JW_Rogue ini thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?
not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.
still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

I was one of the ones that sat and obediently nodded my husband wasn't an elder so I assumed we would have to go somewhere a bit tougher!!!! WT knows best so embarrassed, was dumb as a doorknob!!!
Cult members typically believe that they have made their own decisions and are continuing to do so - even when to outsiders their beliefs and their logic seem very strange and almost unreal! But their volition, their free-will, has been severely limited. Cult members may believe all sorts of things, they are part of an elite group, having special or important information that can change or save the world, amongst other things.
Live in paradise pat lions blah blah blah............
