Why conservatives are losing
by free2beme ineverytime i see a facebook status about hunting, fishing, farming, 4 wheeling, and being a good old boy.
it is a conservative republican friend who is saying he or she is proud to be real an american.
this is common, to mention these good old boy jobs and mentality in such a way.

A Test of my Principles
by fulltimestudent inyesterday, a friend i'd helped with a problem at university came to see me.
he wanted to thank me for that help, and gave me a beautifully carved image of the boddhisattva guan yin for me to wear around my neck.. i like the buddhist guan yin story.
as a story of sacrifice and compassion it beats the similar jesus myth hands down.

No Designs we won't catch up to Norway because we aren't Norwegians. Norway is the way it is because of centuries of culture that has molded the people to be the way we are. We're a completely different animal, we're Americans. We like guns, violence, big tits, and telling other people how to live. We like country music and speed metal, cornbread and beans, and a big shiny car in every drive. We like voting Liberal and voting Conservative and we think the other side is completely f***ing nuts.
Most of all, we like being Americans. If you want to be like Norway then book a flight to Oslo and get the f*** out.

i'm in my late teens, grew up in it, and got out of the society's regime by the skin of my teeth.
nearly go baptized because i firmly did believe it was the "truth" but because of a gut feeling that held me back, that i almost ignored, i didn't sign my blood to big brother.

This site must look very frightening to those timid

Sister, "the timid souls" aren't looking for answers because the Watchtower does their thinking for them. Those of us on this site who are former JW's were "Hardcases" who were smart enough to think for ourselves and figure it out on our own.

Are we not grateful for this new light coming from God's organization? Sister C tells us
that since getting rid of her cat she has not had to be preoccupied with cleaning the litterbox
and now has alot more time to go pioneering. Brother B puts it this way, "I'm so grateful
that God freed me of the burden of owning a cat. I hope all of the brothers will realize how
the devil uses cats to corrupt us and distract from the preaching work." (Matt 24:14) What fine
examples of faithfulness! As loyal followers of Christ's thinking on this matter, we can rejoice
in the fact that in the new system God will reward all of our efforts to maintain integrity by
loyally submitting to the leading of his spirit through the "Faithful and discreet slave".Awesome stuff here.

Your mind and your thoughts are completely your own. More than that, they ARE you, and no person has any right to them. Furthermore I don't think they can be wrong or right. They can simply BE, no matter how outrageous, sickening, or vanilla they may be.
