  my buddhist encounter

  so, we have a buddhist abbey in the woods near here.

  lots of americans with shaved heads,wearing tibetan buddhist costumes.

  they do a walk around town once a month with begging bowls, pretending they are sadhus.

  It's called a Kiran by the way.

  

  Regarding the OP, Buddhism is the only religion I've looked at that ever appealed to me.

  Actually it is subjective. Take the bottom 19% and break it down further. Someone who makes $250000 a year is probably in the bottom 19%.

  Are they "rich" even though they are in the bottom 19? Are they poor?

  Pretty pie charts on computer screens are worth less than the electrons that formed them.

  Innovation creates jobs.

  Who's more likely to foster innovation, someone trying to earn a living working 40 to 60 hours a week (Poor) or someone with the funds and time to try to innovate (Rich)?

  i was wondering if oprah will accept paula deen's apology.

  the two women go way back and oprah has even stayed at paula's home for the weekend and paula has been a guest on oprah's tv show.

  i wonder if oprah will cut all ties with paula or will she forgive and forget.

  It's not even obesity that I'm speaking of. It's that they both are like cows. Cows bring tasty meat to the table but very little else. These two people bring cheap entertainment to the table and absolutely nothing else.
