Wish me luck
by Abandoned intomorrow is my first day at my new job.
i'm looking forward to it but i'm a little nervous as well.
other than my own computers and a couple of friend's computers, i haven't done a whole lot of this kind of work since 2004. of course before that, i did it exclusively for eleven years.

When I was a child I was so terrified of the prospect of that happening that I literally lost sleep over it. I was not only scared that I wasn't good enough but was scared of the whole immensity of the thing. The descriptions used to describe it made me nervous at meetings and added to the feelings that I wasnt' good enough for Jah. compared to the drones sitting around me with their expressionless faces or the more animated ones who smiled and shook their head in agreement. I use to daydream about the prospect of the whole thing being false and hoping against hope that it was.

Cucumbers and dead flesh. Once, as a surgucal orderly, I had to assist with the preparation of a rather large ladies foot that was going to be amputated. The skin of the lower leg and foot was stretched taught and black as midnight. That smell was the worst I beleive I have ever experienced.

Newbies Exiting the Witnesses - How Do You Feel ? Steve Hassan Explains
by flipper inhello folks, how are you ?
i am just about done reading the steve hassan book, " combatting cult mind control".
thought i would share some of the points here for newbies and all others to see just what a person exiting a cult, or jehovah's witnesses might go through psychologically so they can better know how to deal with the various emotions of anger, guilt , and sadness that can accompany leaving the witnesses.

Santeria by Sublime
If I could find that Hannah
and that Sancho that she found
I'd pop a cap in Sancho
and I'd slap her down.
Lyrics may be off, but that's waht it sounds like.
My favorite "romantic" movie is probably "So I married an axe murderer." So sue me, I like to laugh.
avishai's right, everytime I heard at the meetings to "Heed the council" I would just about LMAO. All I could think of was "Heed, Paper, Now! If ya can, toting around that large cranium o' yours" "He'll cry himself to sleep tonight, on his large pillow"

Most of the posts I've made since joining this board have been of the lighthearted, make a joke variety. Not this one. I just got through reading the thread started by TJ cleared2land "circuit breaker" and now this one. Maybe I'm just feeling weird today I don't know but I'm so F'ing mad. All I can feel is rage Ive got tears in my eyes right now. I want to hurt those MFers. Why couldnt the terrorists in 01 have flown all those jets into the WT buildings at least something good would have happened.
This sucks. I in hindsight realize that I haven't beleived this shit in years, but I'm still haunted by it.
I guess that's how I feel, haunted and angry. I was going to erase what I wrote above, but can't bring myself to, I think I need to say it, or at least write it. Thanks flipper and all the rest on this site for saving me.
