As much apathy as you find in the JW's, I'm willing to bet that the voter turnout would be very low.

(AP) New York City Feb. 6th, 2008
The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society today announced it's candidate for the upcoming presidential election, Mr. Theodore "The Hammer" Jaracz. Mr. Jaracz,103, has announced that he will be running on a platform of pro-life, pro-field service, anti-war, pro-war, and pro-pedophilia. He has selected as his campaign slogan "No child left unmolested". A member of the local "Bethel family" who spoke on condition of anonimity said "This is a very exciting time for all of us, as new light has come forth that this is the prophetical fulfillment of some scripture or other". Stocks in janitorial companies rose sharply at the news of Jaracz announcement.
I feel so lucky to live in a country like this.

Once You Had Doubts, How Long Before You Got On The Internet?
by minimus inthe watchtower society keeps telling everyone to stay away from the evil internet.
they claim that once you surf the internet, even if it's done innocently, it's the beginning of the end.
were you personally affected in your faith because you turned on the computer?

The internet, just gave me some folks to talk too about it
I knew in my heart that it couldn't possibly be true. It is totally and completely illogical, and even after reading all the horror stories, explanations of doctrine, arguements between posters about the validity of this or that JW characteristic, etc., it still comes down to the fact that I, in my heart, using all the logic I can muster, beleive that it is a big pile of shit.

by WTWizard inwe have seen that they are cracking down on skipping boasting sessions.
i have seen that thread stating the three f's (fever, fracture, funeral) as the only valid excuses for missing one.
and there are reports that the book study hounder will hound people for missing one.

I had a cousin that Superglued her fingers together so as not to have to go. Turns out that she got caught forny-katin and she was using any excuse not to go face the music, including injuring herself. Of course, she was also an idiot, so it may have been accidental.

I live in Texas, have for 10 years, but was born and raised in Oklahoma, and still tell people I'm from there. I really love the state of Texas but am so fed up with the way native born Texans always act like everything begins and ends with Texas, that it's the greatest place that's ever been discovered in mankinds history. So, I always tell people I'm from Oklahoma, and act like a total prick during Red River Shootout Week.
I'm not from Muskogee, but I love that song! The only thing is though, that part were he says "We don't make a party outta lovin, We like holdin hands and pitchin woo" First off, I don't know how to pitch "woo" or even what it looks like, and it sounds like it might hurt. But I've got to make a party outta lovin. I mean, your getting laid for god's sake. That's reason enough to throw a party.

83 degrees here in Texas. This makes my fat-ass sweaty, and I don't like that, but I guess it's better than freezing to death.

I found that after I started taking Zoloft that I had very little tolerance for alcohol. I've always enjoyed drinking, but now after 3 or 4 beers, I feel dizzy and nauseous. If I go off the Zoloft these episodes slowly decrease until they don't happen anymore.
