I feel that they vacillate between psychopaths and f***tards. Sorry I have nothing better to offer than that.

Is this a religion run by PSYCOPATHS?
by Terry inglibness/superficial charmgrandiose sense of self-worthpathological lyingconning/manipulativelack of remorse or guiltshallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric)callousness; lack of empathyfailure to accept responsibility for own actionsthe hare psychopathy checklist-revised by robert d. hare, 1991. multi-health systems, 908 niagara falls blvd, north tonawanda, new york, usa, 14120-2060. psycopaths do not feel empathy but learn to imitate those who do.
psychopaths don't even understand charity.. .
i was thinking today how much psycopathy is reflected in the governing body leadership and especially manifested in policy.. jehovah's witnesses are not led by people devoted to charity, benevolence, outreach or social provision for those less fortunate which.

The 265th Pope slithers off into retirement
by designs inhe now lives out of reach of the secular world's laws.
the pope emeritus spent part of his youth with the nazi leagues of his homeland.
he receives a 'retirment check' of about $3000.00 per month, which is the high end range of our social security system if you were a top earner and waited until 70 to collect.

I got your point Sulla. I just think that it's complete shit.
Another thing, the VIRTUS program was conceived by National Catholic insurance company so what I see is money and not concern for children.

Former Jehovah's Witnesses, will Jesus destroy all JW's when he comes to the Earth?
by Change Name inwhat do you believe happens when one of jehovah's witnesses dies?
do they go to hell?.
if you do not respond, does it mean that you are only looking to discredit and bash the jw's?.

Some of you were very mean in how you answered.
Look out guys! He/She's serious.
To answer your question, no.
Will Jesus come to Earth, no.
What happens when JW's die? They decompose.
Do JW's have special knowledge? No.

Help me figure out what to say...I'm not usually at a loss for words
by Terry inwell, i finally found him on facebook!.

Tell him how much he means to you even after all these years and leave it at that. I would let him be the one to broach the subject of religion because by what you've said of him I would imagine that it's highly possible that his thoughts over the years have changed quite a bit. Hopefully his intellect has allowed him to see some of the things that we take for granted.
Until then it's just Schrodinger's cat. Thank God for TBBT.

So by that way of rationalizing it...
Ted Bundy should have been set free if he just made the necessary steps to never murder and rape again.
Bernie Madoff should go free if he promise never to run another Ponzi scheme.
The guy that molested me as a youth and thereafter many of my cousins and his own step-children should have his name taken off the sex offender role and his record absolved.
Sure thing Sulla, you make perfect sense.
If the Catholic Church goes on for another 1000 years and in that time keeps children safe then they can be forgiven. But not now. They are guilty, guilty, guilty.

How could any of us look ourselves in the mirror and know that we viewed the Catholic Church differently than the Watchtower when we know that they've done the same thing. C'Mon people, they aided and abetted the sexual abuse of children!
Catholic charities may do much good but that doesn't absolve any of the heads from what they've enabled others to do.

A question for those that have been around this board for a long time
by JeffT inmy wife and i stopped going to meetings in 1988 and da'd in 1989. for a few years we both actively participated in the xjw world, she quit doing that a long time ago, and has pretty much completely moved on.
the other night i told her about my planned blog (which will probably launch this weekend) it will mostly be about my writing, a lot of which is mostly about jw related issues.
she asked why i am still so drawn to this subject.

What if you simply IGNORED being disfellowshipped and continued as before?
by Terry ini know this is an odd idea.
maybe it is even silly.. but, i do daydream..... .
what if you were informed that you are disfellowshipped and you flashed a huge smile and said, "nah.".

It probably couldn't be done for very long but the concept is genius.

Interesting stuff.
My Clinical Patient yesterday was a little old black lady with C. Diff. that reminded me of Sweet Brown (The "Ain't nobody got time fo' that" Lady) and she was telling me about her boyfriend who suffered a stroke about 3 months ago. He's made an almost full recovery (drives, cooks, gotes to the bank, etc.) but he has trouble with his speech. He's fluent mentally in what he wants to say and can write down his thoughts and can even fluently speak certain phrases that he uses constantly but he can't put new stuff together and say a sentence. Fascinating.
