EBOLA -why should America take the lead in handling it?

millions have died in africa from civil wars where the governments have squandered money on bombs guns and tanks, whilst allowing millions more to die of malaria, diarrhoea and other treatable diseases.

thousands more have died in nigeria from religious killing than ebola.. and now big bad america is the one they all turn to (in mainly muslim countries) to save them, just like kuwait did in 1991.

The 1st world should take the lead in fighting this to keep it from spreading. To not do this would spell doom for the entire continent because the entire continent is incapable of fending for itself.

It's my birthday today

... but most of my new (post jw) friends either don't know my birth date (if people don't specifically ask i won't tell them), or they are 2500 kilometers away in the netherlands... so all that's left to celebrate with me are my hubby, the two doggies, cat and my two rabbits... mixed feelings, i miss my friends and family around and haven't found friends in spain yet.

luckily our daughter will visit us the end of the month... and yesterday we've found a new rental house and we're moving into it next month already!

i'm thrilled and really looking forward to it, then we will finally be able to let all the rest of our belongings come to spain (2/3 of our stuff is stored in the netherlands).. so with this in mind, i'll just say 'happy birthday to me' and will enjoy my third birthday in espana .

I voted for him the 1st time but after a couple years regarded him as a big mistake. All I see when listening to him and looking at the state of things in this country is that he's horrible.

i am responding to a post by someone the other day about a black girl beaten by a mob of other black teens for "acting too white.

" the poster was trying to drive home the idea black people commit more crimes against themselves then white people do to them.

while it is true some black people do insult other black people who they believe are trying to fit in with caucasian people, white people, hispanics, asians, and other races do the same exact thing to people in their ethnic group as well.

The entire concept is so flawed and nonsensical that believing it or trying to believe it was physically painful. It made no sense to me.

The Bible is useful only as a piece historical literature.

How do we set up a "Used New Bike Fund" for Terry?

is there any way we can try to start a crowd-fund to help terry get some wheels quicker than he currently can?

with craigslist and a couple of bucks from a few members we can help terry get moving.

does anyone have any ideas how we can do a "theists for terry" bike fund raiser and challenge the atheists to a bucket-head challenge?

Here's a D-back comfort bike like the one he lost. It's in Sachse, Dallas suburb about 30 miles from Terry.

FYI Terry's an old guy on a fixed income in Fort Worth, Texas which for those of you who don't know is a city which is quite spread out but has a really nice biking trail system. So anyone who disagrees with helping him can fuck off.
