Should I Formally Apologize?

i still have pangs of guilt.
yet, on balance, i have to admit that it couldn't have been too damaging as they are all totally out of the cult.

The problem is not the award (which is usually what is meant when "tort reform" is trotted out), but rather the liability assignment to the manufacturer.
If the bat had been defective and exploded into shrapnel during use, then product liability could appropriately assigned to the manufacturer in a more clearcut manner. In that case, the award wouldn't phase me in the slightest.
Next time you want tort reform, think about how much money you'd be willing to settle for in the loss of your child if someone really is to blame in their death.

IQ test scores are largely a function of culture - how well you have integrated cognitively with the prevailing social landscape. Yes, there are areas of mathematics that are largely disconnected from culture, though there are types of math whose rules are relatively recently invented. Language (definitions and grammar) are particularly susceptible to culture shift and membership.
I take it that "hoah" would be a Biblical character. Since they do not have access to our culture, nor to IQ tests, I suspect they would not fare well.

My parents do not.
No one on my mother's side shuns me (though all my cousins on that side are clearly not part of God's organization ;-) ).
My father's side of the family hasn't spoken to me in decades - let's see, about 24 years - except:
My father's mother spoke to me on the phone last week, briefly. This is the grandmother who while a staunch JW would call me and wish me happy birthday the first ten years of my life. Now I'm roughly 50 and she's 92. It's a curious event and I'm not sure what it means (if anything) yet.

Well, if that's how he spends his time, it's no wonder he hasn't done anything substantive regarding the issues he cites.
I suppose I'm thankful he hasn't done as much damage as some other candidates might have, but he hasn't really done anything different or better than Davis, either.
At least those that voted for him can still think of him as their Governator.

Does the Watchtower KNOW they are using mind control techniques?
by finding my way ini've read a few other threads about cult mind control as well as steven hassans book comabatting cult mind control.
i also read a thread questioning the watchtowers motives.
are they in it for the money or what?

I suppose the question tries to answer just how evil they are - intentionally evil, or serendipitously evil.
I suggest they know what they are doing, in that "these techniques keep the faithful in line". Certainly they touch on the issue with the whole "spiritual warfare" doctrine where it's ok to lie (when they tell you it's ok lie). That bit is completely self-aware.
Since they explicitly say that a person's "character" is irrelevent but that "unity" is paramount, they are at least aware they are crushing the human spirit (which they may believe is Satanic influence) in the name of "purity".
