...or maybe Revelation was written on contemporary issues and has nothing to do with prophecy...

I need a copy of "Angels and Women", the "channeled" book told by a repentent demon that the Golden Age promoted in 1925.
Actually, that's too creepy even for me.
Since we already have stipulated that the GB and the elders are all nothing more than faulty humans, what's the point? That's the proof of the pudding and the ultimate mea culpa - no matter what is said, it can be shrugged off as "so what?"
I submit that if the leaders can't toe the line of the Word of God, then it can't be God's Word. You can't be spirit-led and error prone. The two don't mix.
What group am I? I'm of the Free At Last class.

Stumbling Your Fellow Brothers
by dig692 ini just felt the need to express my thoughts on the matter of "stumbling others" in the congregation.
they tell you that you are accountable for your own soul and responsible for your own spirituality, and then they tell you that you can't do something if its going to stumble your brother.. if a brother/sister sees me doing something not condemned in the bible but maybe is a matter of conscience and he/she is stumbled...why is that my fault?
what makes me accountable for that?

This is firmly combatted by Matthew 7:5 (remove the plank from your own eye first).
Krazy is as krazy does.
It is impossible to account for what others think, let alone what you think they might think.
Just because Brother or Sister Gotta-Have-Things-My-Way doesn't want their boat rocked is no reason to stop swimming. They need to worry a little more about their own conduct rather than others.

Encourage them to read.
Read about every religion they can, show them how they all believe differently, and they all swear they are the one and only Truth.
Warn them that anyone who claims to have the one and only Truth are always scared babies inside, with a need to kill anything they don't like.
Teach them tolerance.
Have them read Steve Hassan's books on cults.
Have them read Joseph Campbell, especially books on myths that infuse more than one religion.
Teach them compassion as religion, kindness as religion, and to stand up for freedom of thought.

can some elders or ex-elders or anyone help me!!
by etna ini haven't been to a meeting for at least 3years.
my wife and i have been married before and we have been married for about 9 months.
since we got married my wife has been going to the meetings to get reinstated (she wants to have a relationship with her kids and with mine as we have both had grandkids now).

This will end in tears...
If you are on their radar, they are going to want your undying slavery or the OK to DF you.
Just my observations of similar situations here on the board. The only thing that has seemed to work is a letter form a lawyer saying don't bother me, and I will sue you if you jeopardize my family relationships by saying I'm no longer one of JWs.

Do you really want to be working toward sustaining and expanding a krazy kult?
I'd need serious moneyz for that.
And there's not enough moneyz in the world to make me serious about that!

Can you and I make a difference?
by compound complex innever doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

You and I are always making a difference Co 2 . We likely never realize the difference we make - but it is when we are most truly ourselves that we make the most impact.
