What is the funniest thing that happened to you...

...or someone else at a meeting or an assembly?.

for me it was when a brother while at the podium mentioned a party were there were no elders present and proceded to castigate the person who organized the party.

however, the person who organized the party was there and as the brother was going on that person got up and yelled at the brother telling him that he had no right to do that and then he stormed out of the kingdom hall.

Silliest thing that Witnesses told you was wrong?

there are two things.

in the early and mid 80s there were witnesses saying that the cartoon characters the smurfs were not acceptable for witnesses.

i had two smurf cartoon books and my mother made me throw them away.

i was a jehovah's witness for over 20 years.

i got out about six months ago and i am having the best time of my life.

before my husband and i dissocated ourselves, things was very stressful for the two of us.

and i'm sure it went to the kids.

but since then i and my husband have both noticed considerable good changes going on in our lives.

several have made outright statements and others have suggested that the society's negative position on higher education has changed.

'the society does not discourage higher education where i live.

' worse, 'apostates have made it all up--the society has never discouraged education.
