when you were a devout witness, what were the teachings that you couldnt accept, even though you believed most of the rest?.
heres mine:.
1. we know the bible is true, it proves itself true.
The one thing that I could never accept was the blood issue. I couldn't picture Jesus coming down to Earth and approving of a person allowing themselves or their children to die rather that to recieve a blood transfusion. I just seemed (and still seems) rather sick!

here i thought i was going to get through the memorial season in peace this year.. how wrong i was!.
was this supposed to be a memorial invitation?.
yesterday i got an unexpected phone call from my mom.. i said hi and asked her how she was.. she said not very good.. i told her i was sorry to hear that and that i was concerned about her health problems and asked if she had had any tests done or gotten results.. she said no thats not why she wasnt doing well.. i could tell from the tone of her voice that this wasnt going to be pretty.. she told me that the reason she wasnt doing well is because the memorial was coming up,.
Although I am no longer a Witness, I am glad to say that my mother still loves me and doesn't really bother me about leaving the org.

The best movie of the year has to be "Memento." Reasons why:
1) Great acting
2) Good story (about a man with permanant short-term memory loss who is trying to find the man who killed his wife.)
3) Structure of the movie (the whole movie is shown is fragments. Plus the movie story is shown backwards. The movie begins at the end of the story and ends at the beginning.)
4) Complex plot (You have to see the movie at least three or four times to completely understand it.)
I can't believe it was not nominated for a best picture Oscar!

quest, I hate to say this, but if you are not a Witness anymore and these former friends yours are then you have to face to possiblity that they may not want to see you.
