got this email :) made me laugh and i wanted to share with you all.. the joys of womanhood .
women over 50 don't have babies because they would put them down and forget where they left them.
one of life's mysteries is how a 2 pound box of candy can make a woman gain 5 lbs.
funny, funny, funny

in my opinion opec will put an oil embargo on the us for its support for israel.
for those who remember the oil embargo of the 1970s it will be be worse!.

for once i will try to post a serious topic so here goes.... most of us here have rejected most if not all of the jw teachings.
i (as well as most of you) certainly do not believe that armaggedon will arrive someday in the future and everybody who is not a jw will die and the witnesses that are left will rebuild the earth.. so, the question i have is this: what do you think happens when you die?.
do you go to heaven or hell?

So, the question I have is this: What do you think happens when you die?
Do you go to heaven or hell? Do you come back as someone or something else? Or perhaps there is the scariest possibility: that there is no God and that when you die that is it!
Can life be that meaningless?
This question is driving me nutz!

i have a theory and i'd like to put it to the test here.. i would be willing to bet that the posters who post a great deal probably commented more than the average publisher at the meetings.. i know it's true in my case.. on simon's forum we have the whole range of 'publishers-' from those that comment a lot ---down to those that are just there.
the lurkers.. what about you?.

I rarely commented. To too much energy just to pay attention.

i was just thinking about being single today.
i feel like it is the yin-yang experience.
there is good and bad with the whole experience.
Well, I am a single male. Since leaving the organization about a year ago I have tried to meet woman, but damn! it is so hard! I have my ladyfriend Janie who I go out with every weekend and Gaby, this girl who I have sex with every now and then. There is no romance or anything, but it is cool to go out with a woman and not have to worry about love or anything like that. However, I am looking for more.
While I was a Witness I never dated. No JW girl was every interested in me. Most of the Witness girls I knew had double lifes or I simply found them boring. Also, I never was baptized so I thought that I was not good enough for any Witness girl.
Starting to date at the age of 28 is not easy. I feel like I am going through what I should have gone through at the age of 16 or 17. I am looking for a woman who is open minded (sexually), not JW, and who is willing to try new things and who will put up with me.
I am not interested in marriage at the moment.

a note from the group, to tell you we had a great meal and a great visit for three hours until the restaurant people came and asked us if we would give up the table for another group.
so we adjourned to my place and have been talking and laughing ever since.
just called for pizza and decided to let you all know what you're missing!
I wish I could have gone. It sounds like you all had a great time. Did anyone take pictures of the nekkid dancing?

i am watching what i think is the dumbest movie ever put on film, the quick and the dead.
sharon stone (who i think looks great with no panties) absolutely sucked in this stupid movie.
whats with the plot of this yawner, its been done a bit too much.she was terrible and gene hackman must have needed the money when he signed on to do this groaner..just my opinion and we all know what they about opinions...they are just like assholes, we all have them and they all stink...
Here is a funny story.
This weekend me and my lady friend went to see the movie "Death to Smoochy." Boy was this a bad film! Anyway, after about half an hour me and my ladyfriend can't take anymore of this. We walked out of the theater. Then my lady friend went to the ticket counter and asked for our money. Guess what...we got our money back.
After going out to eat, we came back to the same theater and saw "The Rookie." Good film.

In my opinion the worst movie has to be a movie that I have not seen yet, but I am sure that it will be the WORST film of the year, if not of all time.
It is the upcoming "Friday the 13th" movie sequel: "Jason X." I read the plot on yahoo and saw the preview in the theater recently. Man, whoever acually thought that this would work as a film should have immediate brain surgery!
OK, here is the plot. (Please try not to laugh.) In the 23rd century humans have abandoned the Earth and have moved to other planets, because the Earth is no longer liveable. Some students are visiting the Earth for some field trip or something. They find some kind of capsule that contains the remains Jason. (Oh, boy!) They decide to take the capsule with them on their space ship. You can pretty much figure out the rest of the plot. Jason wakes up and starts killing everybody and the rest of the students on the space ship run and try to get away from him.
What a f***ing joke!

when you were a devout witness, what were the teachings that you couldnt accept, even though you believed most of the rest?.
heres mine:.
1. we know the bible is true, it proves itself true.
The one thing that I could never accept was the blood issue. I couldn't picture Jesus coming down to Earth and approving of a person allowing themselves or their children to die rather that to recieve a blood transfusion. I just seemed (and still seems) rather sick!
