my name is melissa, i'm 29, a mother of 2 boys ages 9(10 in dec) and 14 months, i've been married to my dh for 10 years.. i was raised as a jw from the age of 4 and fell out of the religion around 18...almost went back at 19(went to a couple meetings).

i was just looking for other ex jw's that can relate to me.

Haha, that would be great! I think a parenting board would be awesome. I had assummed there was one already. I'd probably post there a lot. My DS wants to know about the nice ladies that keep knocking on our door lol. I have no idea how to explain it to him!

Thanks for the info! I'll try to be firm next time. I try to just get quiet and pretend not to e home...which then makes me feel weird because I'm now on the other side. I remember going door to door and knowing people were pretending not to be home LOL!

I'll post some recipes soon. :)

I actually believe that humans are naturally herbivors but I hate debating so ...lol.

past research has been done`` so now its much easier to present it to those willing to listen.

It took me a long time to realize that the JW's were like a cult.

Since fading away when I was 18 I have yet to make any REAL friends. Sure , I have friends, but I don't let them get too close KWIM? I can't help but believe it has to do with losing my best friends when leaving the religion. They were like my own sisters...friends since we were babies.

Yes, I am a vegetarian(vegan) and I have lots of high protien recipes to share! Let me know if you want me to share some jgnat.

I've actually had some JW's come to my door...and they keep coming because I don't know how to tell them to leave me alone. When they leave I get this major guilty feeling...even though I know I haven't done anything wrong lol. Must be the brainwashing .
