OM: I won't speak on SFF's behalf, but I know that I wouldn't have asked her to marry me if I wasn't 100% confident in our beautiful future together! She is an amazing woman now, and I know she will be an phenomenal wife and mother! I am incredibly lucky to have her in my life! -IMM

It's Official!
by searchingforfriends ini went away last week with my boyfriend (imissmaine) and the day after boarding our cruise ship we were walking around before dinner.
just after sunset we happened to be on one of the decks overlooking the water and talking when he got down on one knee and proposed!.
so in case you were wondering, i said "yes!

i was born and raised as a witness, and am a little weirded out to even be posting on here (you know the paranoia).
anyway, i faded about 10 years ago, and after reading so many posts, i am so happy that it was a pretty uneventful experience.

2 Milestones for Me This Week.

i just kept putting it off.
then yesterday a friend was talking to me on the phone and while we were talking, his 18-year-old son was filling out a voter registration form that was mailed to him.

Q: What happens when you block my driveway?
by Elsewhere ina: i block your car.. today i was out and about enjoying a rare day off work.
all was well and i was feeling good and having a good time... then i came home and found this grey honda parked in my driveway blocking me from parking in my garage (the one i pay $70 a month for).
ok, if asshole wants to block me, i'll block asshole.

I am going to my first meeting at a Kingdom Hall today......

to be honest, i am not looking forward to this at all.
i know most all the people i am going to meet are nice and mean well.

Thank you for your concerns and thoughts Quandry. Please do not read into my impressions of my first Kingdom Hall experience and the JW organization as an indication as to how I will behave with my future in-laws. I do understand that it can be very difficult to get a true impression of someone via these forums. I can assure you that I will be nothing but pleasant and respectful, as will SFF.

Movies I missed growing up a witness?
by inkling inok, so a recent post about the godfather got me thinking what a massively sheltered life i had growing up, .
and all the classic r rated (or otherwise offensive to delicate jw sensibilities) movies i must have missed.. i am not easily offended now, and am open to pretty much any genre.. i have a lot of catching up to do, so i could use some help-.
what are your all time favorite movies, "inappropriate for christians" or otherwise?.
