Maybe at that time God was more of an anti-imperialist and an environmentalist. God as an evil vegan in the pre Abraham days makes a lot of sense, especially when you see what man has done now

Try Kava Kava as a cold pressed tea the Pacific Islander way. A little Kava and you will be too faded to want to drink. Its bitter and ugly, has no calories, and doesn't mix well with alcohol. It won't get you out of control like alcohol, and the buzz won't be as sweetly exquisite as marijuana but it might make you even lazier than a stoned person. It is a muscle relaxer and as far from caffeine as you can get. Just remember to drink a lot of water the next day as it will dehydrate you.

The Gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day.
by Londo111 indear jw,.
on october 2, 1914a hundred years ago todaycharles t. russell announced, the gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day.
for almost 40 years, among other predictions for that year, 1914 had been looked to as the end of armageddon, false religion, and all governments, and the beginning of paradise on earth and the resurrection.

The Gentile times have ended. Colonialism is dead, Zionism is nearly dead, the Rastafarians are going back to Ethiopia, and Isis is trying to reestablish the Caliphate. Christendom will soon be apologizing to the Rastafarians for persecuting them, and to the Orthodox Church for not listening to its timeless Wisdom, and Ethiopia will be the front line between Al-Islam and Christendom, which both need to grow up and fight in scholarly debates, not with guns and bombs. American Christians have it all assbackwards. Christian Fundamentalism is Babylon with its ridiculous literalism. Listen to some Bob Marley and read some Augustine and Chrysostom and a little Enoch, not just the Bible. Come out of her my people.

"You can't Disfellowship me ......."
by Phizzy inif i ever get the threat of being df'd i think i will say :.
" the religion i left a few years ago no longer exists, you can't disfellowship me from a religion that i never had fellowship in !"..
i know this will make no difference at all, as would whatever i said if they had made up their minds, but it would point out how very very silly the whole idea would be.. any other ideas to briefly sum up what a stupid thing dfing is ?.

Just bring a hi-fi speaker when they say you arent one of Jehovah's Witnesses and counter "oh yes I am" and play back the minutes of your meeting in the middle of services. They are a bunch of wimps, they won't do anything. And them keep coming to services and saying hi to people as if nothing happened.

The Art of Hypocrisy - How Jehovah's Witnesses worship a symbol
by BluePill2 init has been a while since i've seen a witness, either in person or virtually.
searching for someone on facebook took me to the profile of a ministerial servant that i know.

Are first world countries to blame for the bulk of third world squalor?
by tootired2care inthroughout several past threads various posters have emphatically made the point that countries like great britian, united states, france etc.
basically countries where white people exist, are to blame for the poverty in many other third world nations.
some have even went so far as to suggest that the first world is to blame for all third world conditions.. i often see excuses such as these for why a country refuses to provide clean water, some food and basic sanitation for its people:.

Depends on the country.
Ethiopia did it all by themselves when they replaced a 3000 year old monarchy with some BS Soviet Colonialism. Haiti on the other hand was a country that France, the Dominican Republic, and America have conspired to make a failure for over 200 years.
Making loans to despots that are one wrong move away from being butchered by their own people is something that we need to put an end to. Shut down our military bases and shut down the World Bank and the world will be a better place.

Vexillology was a hobby of mine before I got married. My wife says I want to fly a flag just to annoy her. I'm a guy who loves to make 'a statement,' patriotic or fashionwise which is a trait my wife HATES. I don't do it just to annoy her, I always dreamed of having a flag collection and even several flagpoles so that I can be patriotic and multicultural at the same time, flying different countries flags on Saint Patricks Day, Cinco de Mayo, Fiji Day, Juneteenth, etc. but always alongside the red white and blue so that I can teach the kids that its possible to be patriotic without being nationalistic or xenophobic. Now I have the goods so she can lose the argument and make me feel like I "win the argument, lose the relationship" until she comes around a couple days later. Bwahahahaha!

Will JW.ORG actually harm the WT Society Long Term ?
by flipper inmy son and i were discussing this yesterday over coffee.
since the wt society in previous years virtually demonized going on the internet at all for jw's - now wt leaders are doing a complete turn around or about face probably so as to " compete " or keep up with all the anti-jw websites that are out there to give the wt society point of view.. however- it very well may backfire on them as once people start doing google searches looking for jw.org it will bring up all the other websites dealing with any jw issues and in the privacy of their own homes out of curiosity i'm sure lots of jw's are going to want to check out some of these sites to see what all the " apostate " hoopla is all about.
i wonder how many jw's will do this and will it have an effect in opening more minds to other views ?

I think that since the Jehovah's Witnesses have repeated the bs mantra that their Bible Studies are the best education you can get, and that they are discouraging schoolchildren from preparing for college that they need to put their money where thier mouth is. I think they are secretly preparing to branch out into accredited online education in order to stem the tide of neglected disfellowshipped young people. They have painted themselves into a corner on education and are on their way to becoming like the Old Order Amish and the Boboshanti Rastafarians where young people go astray as gangsters to earn their fortune and then 'go legit' with enough ill gotten gains to raise a family.

When you say beard is that the gay meaning or the theocratese meaning? To gays a beard means a female date to hide your true Identity, to JWs I think it it means an outsider but as a bearded outsider I wouldn't know because they would never use it in that context in earshot of me, to middle easterners it means a fuddy duddy preacher of any faith.
