  The conventions and the memorial are a pain in the butt for me.

  i can imagine those of you who have a spouse that is not awake and how hard it must be.

  i have a 90 year old mom who is a jw and still puts in 12 hrs a month in field service.

  the brothers and sisters are always picking her up for conventions, meetings and memorials and as much as i try to avoid them, there are times when i just cant.

  mr. jackson was pressured by angus stewart to answer if the org condoned corporal punishment, to which he openly stated that the org does not condone corporal punishment for j.w.

  children.

  this "fact" has never been revealed in the org's literature, in fact, this article which was published under geoffrey jackson's supervision, by definition demonstrates the org's approval of corporal punishment for j.w.

  He absolutely prevaricated and lied, on various matters.

  It was an incredible expose of the GBs duplicitous mentality and willingness to bend or hide the truth to protect the organisations image.

  There's enough apostate cannon fodder in that testimony to seriously tarnish the GBs image for a lot of JWs, if only they had minds open enough to see it for what it is.

  Geoffrey Jackson kept calling the Bible their "constitution" , which I thought a bit odd. Did he mean similar to the American constitution or a company constitution? Either way, those are both manmade, imperfect documents.

  let me start off by saying i do not presume to have the answers, i am merely offering advice.. i will preface this posting with this, cutting a long story short:.

  my sister was raped by a popular jw lad wh's dad happen to be a rock star elder.

  in the attempt to fight him off his face was covered with scratches and it was reported to the police ( instead of rape he was sentenced on the lesser charges of sexual battery and assault) but he confessed to having violent, consentual sex.

  Meditation answered my vital questions!

  some time back, i was listening to sara lazar, a neuroscientist at massachusetts general hospital and harvard medical school, one of the first scientists to take the anecdotal claims about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness and test them in brain scans..

  that day i thought i should test meditation myself.

  though i reaped many benefits (physiological and mental) over a period, what i want to share with you is the spiritual benefit i got.

  i was not able to watch all the video's and i'm sure many others we not able as well.

  many have stated that the elders and the gb member lied.

  i thought it's would be a good idea to list the lies and which video and at what minute mark, that way all could see and reference for themselves.
