  Religious guilt and neurotic feelings can be hard to shed. I've found the only way to do it is to genuinely prove to yourself and accept that the Bible is not the' word of God' and there is no God of the Bible.

  of course we were all surprised by the new wts move with the christian life and ministry meeting.. today i googled the term christian life and ministry and got a direct link to evangelical churches.. so, does this mean anything?.

  Are we seeing the beginning of the end for Kingdom Halls?

  after all, "at this time,over 13,000 kingdom hall projects and 35 assembly hall projects are needed worldwide.".

  hmmm, not too sure about that but all the recent re-branding seems to be heading .

  could this be the long game?

  Yes, they are about to commence a massive rationalization of kingdom halls. Many will be sold with as much sharing of halls as possible. JWs will be traveling further to get to meetings. The midweek meeting will eventually be phased out, replaced by home based' book studies' via internet streaming.

  ....charles taze russell's mom and dad didn't have sex back on that night in june of 1851.... weird that a married couple getting horny could affect so many lives 164 years later.. just a random friday thought.

  as for myself, i am just pleased i have mended my ways.

  i realise ( now) my time as a witness was a keyhole that looked in to the ground, and licked the elders arse.

  i was often told that the only disfellowshipping offence for a j.w.

  is non repentance.. what then is non repentance to the w.t?.

  my answer " rejecting " w.t" doctrine and rules that demand repentance.. now the truth is i do reject " w.t" doctrine and rules.

  Could "this generation" inspire a new "1975 debacle"?

  i think that it's possible that they're getting ready to issue a new end time date insinuation like they did with 1975. now i know what some of you are probably thinking: why would they be so stupid as to repeat such a mistake, knowing what happened in 1975?

  well here're two reasons why i think they could do it:.

  first, it's important to remember that they are deluded.

  The maximum life-span 'generation' of Noah's time was 120 years, at God's decree. So they have it in the back of their minds that the terminus ad quiem is 2034, ie, 120 years from 1914 (and also 2,000 from Christ's death). But they are just too afraid to come out with it. After 2034 comes and goes uneventfully, they will dream up something new, as always.
