they forgot the reason for their own victory before—it was the direct and proportionate result of the poor performance of the then ruling party.

hi i am posting for the first time although i've been looking for a few years , i was born into a witness family left when i was 12 with my parents went back at 22 pioneered became ms started to have major doubts around 2002 when there was a lot of talk about blood fractions etc have been hit and miss since i'm extremely mentally confused as to wether or not this really is jehovah's earthly organisation , i find life hard facing up to mortality etc not having the new system hope , what nailed your decision to leave ?

how did you cope with world problems on news etc ?

Now I'm Convinced There Probably Is No God

yesterday i made a visit to the museum in my city.

the top floor is the planetarium, which has a connecting room with a huge dome ceiling where they project lessons and lectures and you have a 360 view of the night sky etc.. this particular lecture explained about our galaxy, and how it's only one of billions in the universe.

and then we learned about each planet, some of their moons and the sun.

i wish i was kidding, but i have heard this idea suggested lately as a defense of the wts.

this is god's organization, even though it attracts crazy people, and because it attracts crazy people.

The Society basically admits it attracts nutters since it puts the recent large increases in partakers down to mentally and emotionally unbalanced persons taking the emblems.

overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).

This explains the theme of this year's convention "Do not give up!", straight after the theme last year of remaining loyal.

Clearly, increasing numbers are giving up. They are in decline in the developed world and the donations are drying up. They have been for some time and it is only getting worse.

And the delusional Governing body don't know what the heck to do about it except to slash costs, keep begging and guilt-tripping and scare-mongering, and hoping that Armageddon will come soon to bail them out.

Not convinced that congregation numbers is a better indicator than publisher numbers for the simple reason that there is almost no minimum number needed to have a congregation. You could have a congregation of 100 publishers 30 years ago that has now dwindled to 60 publishers but it still counts as a congregation and if that was the only reporting measure you would not know there was any decline in growth at all.

in case you were wondering if the governing body we're going to become kinder and gentler, the answer is a big "no!!!

in the current study edition of the wt magazine, the sheeple are reminded of some very important key points.

1) god has an organization ( corporation ) that you must respect.. 2) only the gb/faithful slave can dispense spiritual food and only the gb/faithful slave can interpret the bible.. 3) individual dubs absolutely cannot learn "truth" on their own.. 4) god requires "unity of doctrine.

read in the new york business review that jw.org made 1 bilion property revenue since august 2016.. unbelievable, isn't it?

they are one of the richest religion organizations in cash flow, for sure.. the co asked us this morning to "overthink wat we can share, to support the work and make jehovah happy".. g..

But what is their annual expenditure!? If we knew that, we could get some perspective on their real financial strength.

It's got to be two or three hundred million a year at least. If donations are dramatically drying up and they are having to liquify property capital to help fund expenses, as the evidence suggests, it wont take long for a few billion to get eaten up.

maybe there will be a mass exodus from jws when thinking people read feb 2017 watchtower telling them the governing body stuff up, shouldnt expect correct/ perfect information and basically make up guff as they see fit.....ya reckon?.

What does "perfect spiritual food" even mean?

No, Jesus didnt say that but obviously all food that is served by the slave should be scripturally correct and never harmful or deceitful.

You can find any number of quotes down the years where they arrogantly praise their own spiritual food as nothing but wholesome and beneficial, spiritually pure and the right stuff at the proper time like manna from heaven compared to Christendoms filthy dishes of junk food, and now here they are admitting in one little flip sentence that will be hardly noticed by anyone that after 120 years they have dished up junk or unhealthy food.

But JWs dont know shit from shovel when it comes to telling what food slopped up is perfect or barf material. If mother serves it up, it must be swallowed.
