from what i've been told, that's not just an announcement to just let the cong know they don't put in reports- it's like there d'fing them or marking them or something.. anyways, in order for elders to do that, they are supposed to at least attempt to meet with the person.

I would certainly agree with that.Any info shared with the elders in an effort to show they didn't handle things in the right way is likely to be met with arrogance and a similar response of: "We're sorry you feel that way, but this is how the FDS wants things handled." Then they starting viewing with suspicion the person who questioned their decision.Just another day in JW world.

its such pure and unadulterated douche that i wish i could bottle it and use just a drop of it at a time.. the back story on this is that a girl named olga was out with her friends in the marina district of san francisco (known for being a popular hang out for douches), and she talked to this guy named dmitri for all of two minutes.

Well, Dan, some of that is certainly true, but would you REALLY want to be with a slut like that ? Giving bj's to guys in bathrooms and doing it the back alley ? Men and Women who behave like that have no respect for themselves (and consequently none for the person they're with) and are basically walking STD's.No thanks ! You deserve better than that.There still are women out there who are also tired of men who play games, act like that and treat them like crap.
It's true that some women like to "fix" guys, or go for the "bad boy", but a lot of that has to do with the confidence guys like that show and the fact that he doesn't act desperate and cater to their every whim.A guy whose main concern isn't what other people think about him is attractive to a lot women, as long as it's not taken to an extreme---such as,no respect for others.Confident and Nice are not mutually exclusive, it's just that sometimes it can be difficult for a woman to find a man with those qualities ( like a backbone); so she's willing to put up with the other crap too....until she can either change him, or find the guy she really wants.It's just that creeps like these like hang out at the "meat markets" because mad cow disease is okay with them, they'll take it anyway they can get it...

They really are whacked out, aren't they ? They have just enough "sense" to realize they have to come up with some sort of nonsensical crap to keep the rest of the JW's knocking on doors where no one is ever home.

To be honest, when I first read this thread...I thought it was a joke.Maybe it is and the "Fooled Ya !!! " will come later.At any rate, I don't mean to be rude by saying this-- but it sounds like emotion is completely overriding rational thought.I have noticed lately in a number of posts that you indeed have a yearning to go back, so do what you need to do
However, since you created this thread you're obviously looking for others take on the subject, so I'll be honest.I really can't see how someone could spend so much time here and after seeing all of the devastation that this cult has done, and continues to do, while lying through its teeth, would want to go back to it ? Especially, referring to it as the "truth".Do we really need to go through the long laundry list of how severely this org has affected people ?
Shunning of children and others because of some misstep ? Kicking people out of Bethel after encouraging them to take a vow of poverty and give up everything and go there,removing elders because of having a child go to college,Shun others, including their own family members-even though it may cause them to become suicidal, let their children die because of not taking blood,disfellowship those for not agreeing with their religious leaders, don't celebrate holidays, birthdays,etc.,or honor they're parents because it's "pagan",allow child molesters in the cong. without informing anyone but will publicly mark someone for such "questionable" behavior as telling others they watch rated R movies or listening to the wrong music ,don't plan for retirement because the end has been "just around the corner" for over 100 years,commend people for selling their businesses and homes to spend more time knocking on doors,ban beards,disfellowship a woman for wearing a pantsuit in "service",disfellowship a married couple for what they privately do in their bedroom,tell people what to think,wear,and act,claim that they're God's sole channel on earth and that everyone who isn't a JW will die, and and a plethora of other things which they fully support and give power to.This is the "truth" ? And it's "exciting" ? I'm not sure the real question is about going back, because you probably never really left.Once again, I'm not trying to be mean here, just honest.Sometimes we all need a boot back to reality once in a while.
