The most ridiculous thing is, he will be accepted by the witnesses with open arms because he "repented". How could anyone rape 105 people and suddenly think, "Oh maybe I shouldn't have raped those poor, defenceless victims after all; who would have thought?"

Describe Your Sense of Humor
by minimus ini think posting on a discussion board can tend to come across in a certain way, personality wise.. i'm the type of person "in real life" that is usually considered quite funny.
i have a very quick wit and i can usually disable someone rather quickly with a facial expression, smile or definitive body language.
of course, you can't see those things here but you might notice a person's humor (or lack of it) by how they post.. so what tickles your funny bone?

I am apparently quite witty, (my mummy tells me so!) and I like dry humour, sometimes sarcasm, irony, really, really stupid characters in films, cartoons, (yes, I watch them) and other TV shows and when someone complains about something true in life in a funny way. I'll update if I can remember anything else. (I have noticed that the humour I have told you about is quite sadistic which worries me a little. )

A fair and reasonable question for Jehovah's Witnesses
by Gregor inyour organization has always been intently focused on "witnessing" and this includes going right up to strangers homes, knocking on their door attempting to engage them in a discussion of their beliefs.
you come prepared to point out the error of whatever faith they hold.
doctrines such as immortality of the soul, the trinity and eternal torment in hell you declare as false teachings and can back up your assertions with scriptures and skilled argument.

Not all witnesses do that. But to the ones that do; they like to stand out and show off about how much more "realistic" and "truthful" their religion is, and because their religion is so "truthful" they cover their ears and start screaming if you mention anything that threatens its existence.
Oh and welcome to JWD!

My Life as a 'Famous' Jehovah's Witness
by united states of nothing injust let me start out by saying i am unable to give certain details of my life as i have learned very quickly this can cause a lot of problems.
i was born into the 'truth' as my mother had been studying with a few sisters on and off at a local congregation.

Where have you turned to?
by Robert7 ini am very curious, since i am myself trying to figure out where to turn to, if anywhwere.
(i am still debating if i am truly an atheist at heart and religion in general turns me off at least as of now) where have you turned to since you left the wt?
i would imagine that many people who became witnesses had spiritual needs (which is ironic why i am feeling atheist, lol) but have you gone to other churches, stopped going to church, become atheist, etc?

Questions about the Jehovah's Witness beliefs.
by Renegade infirst off, (these are in no particular order) i would like to make a point about the ransom.
jesus made a prayer to jehovah saying "take this cup away from me.
" the witnesses interpret this as jesus not wanting to blaspheme jehovah's name.

Uh ranger, you're wrong if you think I actually think humans are pathetic. I was being sarcastic by making fun of the way witnesses degrade the human race. So you're the fool to tell you the truth. And Hortensia, I meant what are your opinions on the matter, although it probably is fiction I'm interested to know what everyone thinks about it.
