fifi40, actually I'm planning to be either a drummer or a bass guitar player. I do remember though. I sang Smells like Teen Spirit like a thoroughly run over cat so I doubt that option.

I'm already quite good at drums and I've just started getting bass lessons.

She some how got the nerve to say,

"No, I mean a realistic dream."

I thought to myself,

"Yes, because living an everlasting life in paradise is a very realistic dream isn't it?"

I didn't say it out loud, because I was worried she may have started crying.

So this goes to show that Witnesses believe that humans can rarely ever accomplish anything. What are your dreams?

One Reason Why I Worship the God of the Bible

while this may be construed as a rebuttal to nvr's thread re: why i post about atheism, that is not my intent.. it is my intent, however, to show how i developed a belief in and love for the god of the bible.. my paternal grandfather, who died before i was born, was a baptist preacher, so you could say i cut my teeth on the bible.

i loved having it read to me, and once i learned how, reading it for myself.

i'm convinced that spirituality runs deep in my blood.. i've always had such a strong sense of right and wrong that injustices make me literally sick.

I was saying to a witness that my favourite genre of music is heavy metal. They said that all metal bands sing about drugs and about the occult. What a load of rubbish!

Is God just your "imaginary Friend?"

when i had money problems i would pray to god for help.....i never got any envolopes with cash delivered to me anonomously.

{like some pioneers} ..unless i got off my butt and earned some cash my problem remained.....when i was sick i would pray to get well...but only the doctor was any real help.....so i ask you, is jehovah or god just your imaginary friend to stop you from feeling alone?

I never really felt close to Jehovah. He was just the spirit who created our world who's going to get us through to paradise, I thought to myself. I really couldn't believe that he could possibly love everything so much. Like, he feels upset when a sparrow falls dead. That didn't stop from killing legions of people back in bible times.

I was telling a JW, that I'm doing Media as a subject at my next school. They replied with,

"But the film industry will corrupt your mind and make you evil!"

Yeah, because every film maker is into the occult aren't they?
