on the 4th of july, with pride..i had a cookout with a number of friends and neighbors.

my neighbor across the street, young guy, 27 really good kid, had his father in from milwaukee, he's 52. so, here we are sitting around the patio, lots of food, stuff, beer .

Yes, it's so much easier to be out of the tunnel and looking in....I no longer feel restrained by the consequences of my actions. Let your hair down, be YOURSELF!! Not the molded wanna be of the org. So many jw's have no idea what it is to just be YOURSELF.

I had to LMAO !! On the 4th of JULY, with PRIDE..I had a cookout with a number of friends and neighbors. My neighbor across the street, young guy, 27 really good kid, had his father in from Milwaukee, he's 52. So, here we are sitting around the patio, lots of food, stuff, beer flowing amply. I really don't recall how the subject came up, oh wait that's right, I do. The father commented on places he's travelled and he spoke about the Mormon temple. He loved the beauty of it and how only Mormons could go into other parts of the temple. So, I commented on how they were just another cult, like JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.....

So, he says, " Oh, do you know about jw's"? His son interupted and injected, " OH yea Dad, nomoreguilt used to BE ONE.." Ok, here I go. I says , YUP!! I was one for over 40 years...He says, " NO WAY nomoreguilt, you couldn't be, you're too cool and too much FUN!!!" Well, my wife chimed in that yes, in fact, he used to BE. Again he says, " No WAY!! You are just too COOL to have been one."

So, he wanted to know more about jw's and I very politely said that we were having too much fun to talk about it then, but I told him i would tell him more the next day, which I did. He hated them before I filled his ears and hates them even more now

Oh, and Yes, I had a great holiday weekend, thank you.

The most painful experience?

coming to terms with the truth about "the truth" is the most painful thing i've been through to date.

i've lost people i love in death (thankfully not a child though).

i've not experienced a divorce.

In my case, it hasn't been all that painful. For years I had my doubts about alot of the doctrines and all. I had raised 2 kids in the troof and therefore kept my feelings to myself. After my divorce i no longer had a spouse that was guilting me back to meetings and therefore I have effectively faded for 4 years.

However, since being here at JWD I have learned soooo much about the cult that I am feeling very releaved that I DID fade. No more wasted time. I am though very upset about the way that the wts continues to decieve the friends that remain. And the amount of $$$ that they have pilferred from us is a sham and a disgrace for an organization that claimes to be THE TRUE CHANNEL OF GOD!!!!

i walked away from the jw religion nearly 9 years ago after "waking up" to the lies & mind games.

since then i've learned the full extent of the manipulation (thanks to websites such as this & the coc book)and have successfully overcome the emotional & spiritual crisis that i experienced the first few years after my departure.

i can say that i am at a place in my life now where i am happy, spiritually fulfilled and religion-free!

A number of years ago, about 28 to be exact, an old friend of our family wrote a DA letter. She took her 2 daughters, ages 27 and 28, with her in the act. But what was so profound about the whole thing was that she also sent a copy to the personal ads of the local newspaper. She PAID to have it printed, and in it condemmned the WTS for what they were, apostates. . This personal ad was read from the platform and served as the congregations way of announcing that they were no longer jw's.

It just came to me out of the morning mist. I was standing in my garage having a smoke just a few minutes ago. So, I was thinking about the day to come and I had my hands in my pockets. Well, I felt the wad of cash that I usually carry in my left pocket and couldn't remember just how much I had there after having paid for dinner out last night. So, I reached in a pulled it out. I started counting and guess how much I had?? YUP!!!! You guessed it.......$144.00.........So, with my former cult think process, I have deduced that " I " must be of the annointed...........Ya THINK????

Put your old WTs to good use

i would like to encourage all of you to put your old wts to good use by creating an even more hostile environment for the wtbs.

when you dine in a restaurant out-of-town or one that you will probably not be returnng to, rather than leaving a tip just leave a wt or awake with a note that jehovah's wisdom is worth much more than a tip.

i promise that the server will spread the word about "those damn jws" .
