im just wondering because it seems like you have no hope.

please set me straight.

I am no longer a Theist, I enjoy the life I have now as I have not been given any PROOF of another life to come. I am existing in a body that serves me well and I enjoy all the comforts that it gives me. I have seen NO evidence that proves to me that any other existance is out there. Whether it be a spirit body or a resurrected body. If there were to be a heavenly HOPE, then what satisfaction would there be to living that way?

Theism makes absolutely no sense to me any longer. Live your life now and enjoy every waking day of it.

in steve hassan's book, " combatting cult mind control" - one of the points that assisted me the most is understanding that all cult members have a " cult " personality which turns on when defending their faith, and they have an authentic, non - cult personality they were born with- the personality they had before being programmed by the jehovah's witnesses or any other " cult".

how is this dual cult/ authentic personality manifest ?

hassan mentions in his book that, " one moment the person is speaking cultic jargon with a hostile or elitist know-it-all attitude .

i have been lurking here since last fall.. i had done a 2 year bible study and finally sort of mentally lost it ( study nights, clean house, constant worrying).. i was looking for a reason to quit and told my study teacher ( an elder and wife) that i would not dedicate myself to an organization , so they could forget about me being baptised.

no one speaks to me now even though i was not baptized.

they said i "knew enough".

IP_SEC........I don't know if you've read my thread on CHANTIX, I am still trying to wuit but i can't take that med any more. How did YOU quit?? Just need some help here as I see many others quit and I just want info.
