im new to your website and im very thankful i have found it.

i was born and raised a witness but managed to get myself out after highschool and havent been back for five or six years.

now that i have a family of my own im totally confused.

Not to be too nosey, but did your hubby know you were once a JW when you married? Do you think it would bother him to know that? If not, then just tell him like it is was.

He knew that I was a former and inactive member I guess. We never talked about church much, we gave presents at christmas, birthdays and such to each other. But it wasnt really a celebration or anything. LOL We have a tree this year and started buying presents, im trying to get into it but its just wierd like im forcing myself to do it. Maybe I need to find a reason to do it, other than eat lots!!!

I guess thats why im here

I dont know what I want to do thats half my problem, also its not that I think celebrating holidays is wrong (though I dont like thanksgiving but thats for obvious reasons) But I do feel kinda guilty. I havent been to any type of church or a meeting for a long time. I think I was at a passover about five years ago and I did that to make family happy. I havent looked into anything new yet. My husband is very willing to try and learn my past its just so wierd to talk about, and probably because im just not used to talking about things. You know that kinda thing was frowned upon. LOL I know in my heart what I believe but where does that fit in. I guess im just confused........so confused!

The one thing I have tried to do is just live and be happy and not worry about it, but lately I guess its been coming back to haunt me.

There is someone who keeps coming over and wanting to talk, leaving brochures and calling. Maybe im just to nice, or I feel obligated to listen. Maybe im just trying to figure out what is true and what isnt. Is any of it true, can I apply it to something else.

Im new to your website and Im very thankful I have found it. I was born and raised a witness but managed to get myself out after highschool and havent been back for five or six years. Now that I have a family of my own im totally confused. I dont know what to celebrate, or how that is, or even if I want to. My husband is confused why I have such a lack of interest. Its just I really dont know what to do. How do I tell him how my life was or why I am the way I am.
