garybuss – that’s so sad to me. I wish that he would have thought long and hard about this before asking me to be his wife. He probably knew all along that he was going back and instead of me asking if he would, I assumed he wouldn’t go back because I never knew anyone who did.

I feel really bamboozled . and he really doesn’t get why its such a big deal to me. I don’t want my child involved in a hate mongering doomsday religion that only thinks of itself as righteous and correct. Imagine me allowing my child to be poisoned against me , learning that anyone who isn’t a witness is gonna “die” and is evil LOL

I know of plenty mixed marriages, mainly non JW males and JW females , that have worked out, since I guess the Man is still the head of the household even though they are not witnesses, but I have really never heard of the opposite.

Im losing respect for my husband and its is overwhelmingly sad to me . But were married and nothing I can say will change his view so I guess I either have to accept that this is how he is and what he is going to do or there is gonna be a problem. :(

jgnat – We married when he wasn’t active didn’t think he would go back. He married me because he loved me, we have a long past together and Im guessing either he thought it wouldn’t be a big deal when he decided to go back or though he could convert me .. lol .. we have been arguing terribly for the past few days because I just think he is nuts for believing the crap.

Today he was infuriated w/me because I asked what would he do if our son needed a transfusion he goes into this well there are alternatives to blood, do you know that most peoples body rejects blood .. blah blah.. then I said, point blank what would you do, and he said read Acts verse something and I was like no Im asking YOU this questions don’t push me off on the bible, and he said he understands that I don’t accept Jehovah Gods Sovernty .. WTF does that mean LOL .

. I thought Id be more understanding than this. Maybe Im reacting bad to this, he keeps saying, why don’t you ask a brother or sister.. im like why would I ask a witness who wouldn’t give me an objective answer. But there is no going back, he is in it again … and Im perplexed as what to do … [/rant] Maybe my bad reaction is making him think he needs to get more involved with the church I guess to him Satan done made a home in my brain LOLOLOL , I keep thinking the more bad reaction I have the more Im making the witnesses seem ... LOL

I am in such disbelief that he is going back, and he doesnt think anything is gonna change

Im gonna tell him to talk to one of his brothers or elders and ask them how easy it will be to be married to an independent thinking wordly woman LOL

I mean I will probably go with him a sunday here and there, but am I giving up my time during the week after working 8 plus hours a day .. uh uh... no way... no how LOL ...

Has WTS abandoned "house to house" ministry?

many years ago now i remember hearing harold king sing the song he had composed whilst incarcerated for his beliefs in china; it was called "house to house".. nowadays it doesn't seem as though it's in favor.

notice its own description of its ministry which the wts has placed on its website:.

No he doesnt know about this site. My son is 2 years old. I am extremely opposed to it and will fight with all my might, he will have a conscientious choice. But I do not want him raised as a witness.

Im so sad right now. My husband keeps saying, its not a big deal, next time he says that Im going to tell him to ask one of his brothers about being married to a wordly woman and the troubles it will bring

Well my story is ...

My husband is going back to the KH after being disfellowshipped about 7 years ago.
We have been married for about 3 and a half but have known each other for 15 years.

When I knew him before he wasn't a witness . Fast forward to 2003 we reconnect and he said he used to be a witness, Im like okay, automatically assuming he would never go back, who would go back after being dissed like that right .. boy was I wrong. I am going through so many emotions right now, I'm angry, disappointed and sad. I make mention to him how this is going to affect our marriage, he is like how? I'm like um, I love holidays, I celebrate the hell out of my birthday and you wont be doing that, you will be gone from me and your son more days a week (his response .. you should come ) .. I just don't know how to handle this, he has talked about going back before and never did. Now he is back, he even shaved off his beard, which ticks me off to no end .. Ugh!

Then he says, just come with me, you will understand more, I mean I have been to the KH before and whatever no big deal, unfortunately if I knew he would go back I may not have married him. I can totally believe that witnesses should marry witnesses, and not to say I think they are a cult, just Cultish LOL. its hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that one of the people I admire the most in the world believes this crap, and I know they arent ALL wrong, but dang, some of the things they believe are just stupid. He already went Sunday and Monday. Then he said if you have any questions you can ask a brother, I said, why would I do that, I dont know them ,I am really disgrunteled, I can hardly talk to him, and he is already talking like a witness, I express my opinion he is like, dont let Satan get in your head or something like that, Im like, just cuz its not what the witnesses think doesnt mean its Satan, Im an extremely independent thinking individual and my son will be so as well. I knew too many witness kids when I was a teenager, I will NOT allow my son to be put through that ... I have a long road ahead. reading here has helped, I am just trying to get the strength to continue to be myself and not be the actual demise of my marriage, because under all that brain washing I do really love him dearly ..

was it true jw's could take a transfusion without any sanctions in bulgaria kept flooding in my mind.

Good for you for fighting for your baby . I am not a witness .. hubby is going back to the hall now , probably gonna get reinstated ... *sigh* If he even tried to deny my son a transfusion I would kill him dead ... But good for you for doing your homework
