Fine.
i went to the district convention in san diego.
i got to see first hand the good, the bad, and the ugly of what transpires at a convention.
the worst fears of what i was warned about never materialized.
One of the "Please Keep Moving" brothers. I never see them at worldly events. Why do worldly people not need to be told this? Can these brothers stand on the freeways at 5 pm with these signs? It might help!
LOL!!!! Great point! There you go. The Society had the solution to urban traffic all along! That was funny...

I SO want a motorcycle. I need you all to convince Ms. NewLight to be ok with it. Oompa, get to it! This way if I get one, we can ride to
Oompa, I actually do have an enduro, a street legal dirt bike. So I still would ride with you if you were to come out my way. It's just that the bike is more for rural riding. Anything over 55mph gets to be too much.
ok.... are you a glutton for punishment?
you'll love this "encouraging email"..... .
i just received this experience from a friend, how loving a father jehovah is!!!
Hell, if it took 3 years, it was CHANCE and not god answering any prayers. Typical case of people attributing chance to prayers.
i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.
theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .
we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.
One thing about society in general is that a LOT of what we do has roots from our ancestors. That's just the way it works, things get passed down generation to generation. We simply take all this, maybe refine it, change it a little, but still rooted from days long ago. This is actually most of the time a good thing, as this is how we progress as a society. This also defines cultures and adds to the wonderful variety of people throughout the world.
So the fact is, why is the Society SO obsessed with the origins of everything? What should matter most is what it means TODAY.
so ladies and gentlemen..... i was going to throw out my daily text, then just decided to read todays.
now i know i'm going to throw it out, but first, lets share in jehobahs (gb) spirit, shall we?.
wednesday june 18th.
are you really on speaker with robert???....what a sicko he is!!!
You know once we leave 'The Truth' we just go crazy and jump off the deep end!
what are the worst rules you've ever heard being dispensed from the platform?
"christians do not dance to ymca, as it promotes homosexuality.
"hairstyles that defy gravity also defy joe hoobie.
Wasn't a rule, but recently heard on a Sunday talk. (paraphrasing here) "Don't read into and discuss the history of Russell because that would be gossip"
so i stubled on the following image on gbletters site.
you have to love how the watchtower uses circular reasoning quoting from older watchtower articles to reinforce their points.
i thought i would have a look myself to see what the toast signifies and its history this was very surprising.
The whole point is who cares what it USED to be about 1000 years ago?! It has lost all meaning and is now simply a gesture. The GB members have such a stick up their asses!
