Blood Issue took my mom last night
by rwagoner inafter years of fighting a physical disability that ended in kidney failure and several bouts of respiratory/cardiac arrestmy mom landed in the hospital last week.
the doc's said she needed heart surgery and kidney transplants but before they could operate they need to get her blood count back up.
it had fallen well below what her body could naturally restore on its own she she needed transfusions.

Oh rwagoner, I'm so sorry. Yet another family destroyed by the evil Watchtowerite cult. And all because of their pathological need to be controversial and different (i.e. "holy").
Do whatever you have to in order to honor and remember her . Do Not let them take over the memorial service .It should be a time for your family not a congregation meeting .
I hope you and your family can take ahold of the funeral services, this way it will truely be about your mother and not the JW agenda.

Don't let the cultists banish you to the sidelines, so that they can have free rein to brandish your mother's remains like some perverse trophy.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful....
For the record Q, "Let It Snow" isn't a Christmas song, but a seasonal song (like Sleigh Ride, or Winter Wonderland). Before my fade, I would love to needle the other JWs by listening to seasonal tunes. When they would inevitably protest, I'd piously reply, "But they're seasonal tunes. Seasonal!"

The only reason that it might bother me is the fact that the labels are intended as a slur on one's character and are forms of defamation.
I agree with Scully. No one wants to be the object of slander. But it still wouldn't convince me to go back. I don't take kindly to intimidation tactics.
