  Berean: I, too, have been contemplating disassociation. I know that it's really not necessary to formally DA, but in my opinion, it gives closure.

  Paul: I believe that a person is qualified for salvation only by faith but is disqualified by serious sin or failing to care for other people. Matthew 25 : 31-46 is not about being sheep-like or goat-like, it is about being separated as a shepherd might do. The only criteria JESUS GAVE for adverse judgement is failing to care for other peoples needs, and without discriminations. I agree.

  i was asked what i thought when i saw all the bad things going on in the world and about how close we are to the end.

  i replied "jeff, i simply do not believe that it's going to happen in my life time.

  " he was momentarily stunned and said "well, when have things ever been this bad before?

  He also started lambasting the Jews (what a big surprise) and whining that they had more Rights in Middle Eastern countries than what the Witnesses did. I said "So what if they do? After what happened to them during the Holocaust, they have every right to stand up for themselves." He said "Oh, so because of that they get all the Rights and we don't?" (i.e., "We demand the right to be supercilious in foreign countries.'')

  Oh how it pains me when JWs start carrying on about not having as many rights as other religious groups. Especially since the most important right, freedom of religion, is not granted to their own members.

  I really hated the hypocrisy of the whole situation, which is why I left.

  one of my wife and my lurking jw friends sent us this article which has some very pointed words in it inciting all jehovah's witnesses to take an even harder line view of apostates in this recent april 15th wt.. on pg.

  I used to want witnesses to leave the group, but not any more. Now, I want em to stay right where they're at.

  Gary I would agree with you, except for the fact that most JWs have good intentions and have simply learned via mind control to be bobble-headed drones. They're being lied to, and no one deserves that. Plus, as long as they're dubs, they are actively promoting deadly doctrines like no transfusions or shunning. It's better for everyone (especially children), if more people leave, and the cult dies.

  Their mind may be poisoned by a critical attitude toward INDIVIDUALS in the congregation

  Like their father Satan, apostates target people of integrity

  I believe this tactic is called psychological projection, which is a defense mechanism in which one attributes to others, one’s own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or emotions

  Let's face it, most people are aware that the belief system of the JWs falls well outside Christianity proper. Which, biblically speaking, makes the JWs the real apostates. But rather than address their unhealthy fascination with unscriptural dogma, the WTS would rather label those of us who refuse to be complicit with their lies and hypocrisy as evil. And as for being poisonous, it's pretty hard to find a sect so critical towards its individual members, or so hateful and slanderous towards people of integrity, as the cult of Christianity known as the Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Here's hoping that 2014 brings a mass exodus away from the JWs...I can hardly wait!

  Strange that something so precious found its way into the thrift shop.

  And the fact that it has means one of two things:

  1) Either the JW that owned this film figured out that The Truth ™ was a pack of lies (false expectation built up by the WTS).

  or

  2) The JW that owned this film died believing in a pack of lies (false expectation built up by the WTS).

  To be totally honest, anyone who's ever been a true believer in the WTS, is in a small way responsible for the pain and suffering

  that this cult has afflicted on so many people...which is why so many of us have left.

  No longer would we perpetuate the Society's lies. No longer would we share in their blood-guilt. (transfusions, pedophilia, Malawi, organ transplants, hypocrisy, etc.)

  Yet even now, there are many more who wish to leave, but are held in check because they know that

  leaving the B0rg means losing their families.

  There is nothing 'godly' about the JW's as an organization. Not now, not ever.

  I don't know your history lurk3r, but if you have decided to leave the WTS, good for you.

  From the very moment that C. T. Russell began applying his twisted pyramidology theories towards the Bible...to this very minute.

  In other words, they have never been 'God's people'. NEVER.
