"Go ye not therefore after them." They are truly 'spirit-directed'...

Would you rather see the WTS move mainstream or just collapse in a heap?

maybe eventually the wts will adapt and change and try to go mainstream.. as 'new shite' shines brightly then;.

maybe eventually celebrating birthdays and even christmas will be 'allowed' without too many repercussions.. maybe eventually the 'blood' issue will fade away and 'brothers' wil be allowed the whole lot of fractions together at the same time.. maybe eventually disfellowshipping and particularly shunning will be seen as unloving and done away with.. personally i would rather this wouldn't happen.. i would prefer to see the wts collapse in the mire even with all the emotional fallout there would be to those still in having their crutches pulled away from them.. i don't want the wts to modify and adapt and go more gentle on the rank and file.. i want them to get more harsh with the brothers.. i want it to go down, not along.. am i being too cruel to those still in?.

would the more loving caring attitude be to hope that the wts changes for the better?.

i feel that this old information on dr. brenda upton deserves a thread of its own as its earlier post on another thread elicited no comment.

needless to say, it was still seen and reviewed by not a few readers.. isn't this situation a reflection of what is happening now in spain?.

Do you believe in MIRACLES?

i'll be honest and admit that i did.

the 'moses' miracles, solar miracles, jesus miracles - everything.

so no belief bashing from me on this one, i promise.. all the same, how do you reconcile belief in miracles with that little voice in your head that says "hmmmmm?

I have been witness to several miracles.

If you measure such things as faith and miracles with the yardstick of rationality, your measurements will always come up short.

Faith and miracles do not function on the same level as scientific rationality. They just don't. They function beyond it.

i recall that when the watch tower society purchased a former motion picture theatre in queens, new york, for use as an assembly hall, the theatre had an ancient egyptian motif throughout.

over the marquee, the front of the building had large tiles depicting various egyptian gods and goddesses, one even carrying the crux ansata.

Dr's Were Talking About Giving Me a Transfusion - Hubby's Reaction and update on him...

well, when i was giving birth there were some complications.

the dr. came in and told hubby and i that they were probably going to want to give me a transfusion as i had lost so much blood.

i looked at my husband for his reaction.

My Wife Is Coming Home!! Part Two

well, i had a really busy weekend getting things ready for my wife to come home after a year long absence at the hospital/nursing home.. all weekend i spent my time cleaning out my step daughter's former bedroom.

she's living with my wife's cousin.

she can't stay at our home because of behavioral problems.
